Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Reasonably sound frame. Has many new parts. New valve job and rings installed. New head gasket and radiator purchased but not installed. Heart surgery and a wife with common sense have forced me to reduce my number of projects in the barn.”
A Happy Thanksgiving Holiday of everyone out there. I shall be thankful for jeeps today! Apparently, one Major E.P. Hogan was also thankful for these unique vehicles, so much so that he wrote an article for the Sep/Oct 1944 issue of Army Ordnance called The Jeep In Action: Some Adventures of the Army’s Ubiquitous Vehicle. This was on eBay a couple days ago. I was tempted to bid on it, but I figured the money is better spent elsewhere. It sold for $25 plus a $5 more for shipping. Neat brochure!

“Selling my ’47 flat fender. It’s a great little keep. Everything works except for a couple gauges. Motor runs fine but recently switched to a new carb and needs some tuning. Runs and drives as is but carb definitely needs a tune.
The body is in pretty good shape for the age. Not much rust. I diy rhino lined the tub last summer and it’s holding up nicely. Tires are old but still work fine.
The winch is not included but may consider throwing it in for the right price. ”

(11/17/2016) Looks like a 2A that’s had the fuel inlet filled and an MB/GPW tank installed. Would make a solid re-enactment or parade jeep.
“1946 Jeep. New brakes all around, new battery, Runs great. Converted to 12 volt, has canvas top. Black out lights changed to street lights for driving around town. I have all parts in a box. Appointment need to show.”
