Maury spotted this one-off CJ-5 backhoe tractor combo. He wrote, “I was helping my brother in law pick up some car parts this past weekend, and ran across this interesting CJ5-based vehicle. It was made by the guy who owned the business that was selling the car parts, and he told me it was a one-off he created years ago in Michigan in the hope of successfully marketing it.
The CJ5 body was bought new from AMC separately, and installed on the heavy steel frame he created for it. He said the resulting vehicle was the only loader-backhoe he knew of that could go 80 m.p.h.!”
As militarized 2As go, this looks to be one of the better ones.
“1946 CJ2A Military clone. Running and on road now, new top. pics speak for themselves. No emails”
UPDATE: **Status Unknown** Was $7500
“1946 CJ2a garage kept since we have owned it, 1988. The Jeep has been kept in a storage unit for the past 3 years. Vacuum wipers, 12 volt system, key start though floor starter switch still there, we have the Gerry cans, was re-upholstered and repainted in the 90’s, I put a battery in it and primed the carb she started right up, great Jeep, She’s a beauty, $7500 or BO. I’m in Harrisburg, Jeep is in Leola so we would need to meet there.”
Looks like someone painted over the data tags.
“Own a piece of history! This 1942 Jeep Willy’s MB was the work horse of WW11. Restored to operational condition. Less than 200 miles since freshly overhauled original engine. Runs, drives and looks great!
The engine is also known as a ” Go Devil L-134″ Has a 2 speed transmission. Currently is on NON-OP with clean title and is street legal.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $12,000.
Looks like a clean build.

“Runs and drives well. Heads resurfaced along with new exhaust and intake manifold gaskets. All new oil hoses in with no leaks. New oil pan gasket. Transmission does have a leak probably felt gasket. New front brakes and all new brake lines. New gauges and they work except for the amp meter that breaks fuses. All for leafs springs replaced with proper arch springs (old ones were flat in front). Has T-90 transmission, split transfer case, Dana 41 rear and Dana 25 front axle.”
Could be a good price.
“1946 Willys with a Chevy 327.
Hate to sell but have too many summer toys.
$3500 or best offer”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3900.
Seller honestly describes this as a 20 footer, meaning it has got a few body issues up close, but it runs and drives.
“Up for sale is my little Ford Jeep… It is registered as a 1950 but it is a 1945 with a 46 Willys grill (looks better)
It also has a Ford 2.3 4cyl motor that runs great. This is a great little Jeep. I just mainly used it for running around Twelve Bridges with my family. Out of room now with too many projects. Runs and drives great…top speed around 45-50. Some rust in pass lower fender and some that has been covered over with sheet metal on the driver side floor. It’s a 20 footer. Just a fun little jeep to drive.”
Note the unusual dash on this tux park.
“1964 Kaiser/ Willy Jeep Cj5A Tuxedo Park(rare)
