Could have been a VEC.
“1946 Willys Jeep CJ-2A. 4 cyl, 3 speed, 4 wheel drive. Very clean. $6,400”
Looks solid.
“Rebuilt T-90 transmission and
re-end. New front axel, brakes, brake lines, master cylinder, tires rims, exhaust, wiring harness, shocks, windshield glass and sets. Radiator has been rebuilt as well. Motor has not been rebuilt but runs great. All gauges work as well.”
Has a variety of early parts.
“This was the 1117th cj made after WWII. As far as I know it is original motor. When I bought it had just been mechanically restored by a company called Northstar Willys. He found the 38th one and decided to sell this one. I had some body work done but tried to keep as much original as possible. I did however change to a 12volt system. The Jeep runs good and as you can see in one of the photos it looks like the water pump just started leaking other than that no real issues. I used the jeep very little… just as a my mule to haul tools for small projects around where I live. Unsure of actual mileage.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $12,500.

“I have an old Jeep Willys body for sale, don’t know much about it, it does have rust, figured it would make a cool rat rod like pictured or a great military looking re-build. Even perfect for a kids bed, many possibilities. No title,
Just is what you see in the pics, I have a friend that has a hood and grill that would probably work out depending on what your building. ”
UPDATE: Still Available.
“1945 willys jeep VEC. “very early cj” has 3 on the tree from the factory thats what makes it one of the rareest!! runs great drives great needs nothing! fairly firm on 14,000. Trades plus cash welcome (military plus cash works) ”

“Very early 1946 CJ2A civilian jeep, the following replaced or overhauled. Steering box and column, seats, windshield assembly, wheel rims, gauges, fuel system, cooling system, charging system, 12 volt conversion, hydraulic brakes, floor mat. Built first week or two of 1946, converted to floor shift, still has column shift transmission and original body. ”
Looks like it could be a good price.
“A 1946 CJ2A Willys (jeep). Good condition. YES it does run and has Texas title. Setup as hunters jeep with roll bars holding basket to support cargo. Also 4 jerry cans (2 for gas and 2 for water). Asking $3500.00. obo. cash only.”
Missing some steps, but looks solid otherwise.
“Jeep runs, drives, stops, etc… 12v system, original L134 motor, frame perfect, Dana 25 and 44 were rebuilt, shifts smooth, new brakes (cylinders, pads, lines). Many new parts, headgasket, starter, alternator, coil, fuel pump, thermostat, battery, distributor tune up, plus a lot more! Currently registered with clean title. Not perfect, does occasionally get a front end shimmy, body not perfect, but definitely a classic and fun vehicle!”
