Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “52 Willy’s fire department truck… it’s called a “blitz buggy “…it was the first year they made these….has a 6 cylinder “super hurricane”motor that runs great (no smoke) the previous owner said mileage is original (13,000) on odometer..cab needs all the normal repairs of a truck this old… good frame, only one spot could use attention… nice bench seat no rips…trans and transfer case shift… didn’t get to drive it down the road… don’t ask if it’s available…..if it’s listed it is…. make me a reasonable offer.”

“Rare 1948 Jeep Willy Truck. Starts up quickly. Runs and drives well. Some rust in truck bed and other spots. Perfect Jeep Willy Truck for restoration project, while also able to still drive it around the neighborhood.
Lightly updated at The Jeep Farm. Work included: installed rebuilt carburetor. installed new bench seat, replaced battery, repaired damaged fuel sending unit power. wire and installed into new tank. mounted fuel tank. installed X4 Shocks.
This could make a neat looking build. It has a “Tender” look about it. But, rather than cutting down just a wagon, this one combines a truck with a wagon rear.
