Here are a couple pics:
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
Has some updates, include a Vortex V-6.
“1946 Jeep Willys original body and drive train. 3 speed T-90 transmission with 4 wheel drive. Warn Locking hubs. This jeep had a new paint job. interior is rhino lined. all lights and gauges function as they should. comes with an original and extremely rare 1947 removable dually kit, that was sandblasted and repainted. It is currently on the vehicle. It can stay on or can be removed as desired. Has a modified engine with a Vortec v-6 rebuilt with under 100 miles on it.
The seats have been recovered and look new. it has a CJ-3A windshield because i liked the look better than the CJ 2-A. functioning driver side wiper. I also have the blinker set up that i haven’t set up yet. Starts on the first turn. Was converted to a 12volt alternator. rear disc brakes. color combo is beautiful. has minor imperfections but this is not a repro body. Has all the hardware for a canvas soft top. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a jeep willys with real temporary dually…I’ve searched for over 20 years to find the dually kit.
I can’t tell what type, but this appears to have some dually adapters on the back.
“1950’s Willys Jeep. Body and some engine parts. Pick up in South Georgia. $1,000.00”

UPDATE: Price dropped to $400.
(12/08/2017) Roger’s got this set of dual wheel adapters for sale. One side of the adapter has been welded onto 15″ rims. These appear to be the same unknown adapters as the sets seen in #5 on this list. If you’d like to know more, contact Roger at 937-477-5270.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Were $750. These are Hickey Dual Wheel adapters.
“Dual wheels adapter set for willys jeeps Used New old stock . 5.37″ wide approx .Included 5 left and 5 right thread studs .Has no markings on adapters, paint has minor scratches.”
Ted assembled these photos to highlight the differences between three different adapters: the Welliver, Floy Fox, and Rapport. You can learn more about adapters here: http://www.ewillys.com/2017/04/05/dual-wheel-adapters/
Ted’s also got a variety of parts for sale. You can see them all here:
View all of Ted’s parts on eBay (if for some reason that link doesn’t work, then use this one: https://www.ebay.com/usr/careyj103)
Ted writes, “I changed over from a set of Wellivers on my rear of the 2a to a set of Rappaport’s. The Welliver’s are very rare and nice in the fact that they fit on front or rear of Jeep. The third type I have are exact copies from an original set of Floy Foxs that I found on an old Willy’s Truck many years ago. A good jeep buddy of mine, who’s a really great machinist, makes them for me when he’s not booming with his other work. All three of these types bolt right up to original Willy’s rims and, importantly, do not require the second wheel to be mounted backwards like on the Hickey type and shorter versions like the pair that have been on ebay forever. I think the Willys’ guys are smart enough to see there too short .”
Welliver adapters:

“1960 FC 170 Jeep Cab over, duel rear wheel, flat bed. 4 speed, 240 ci Ford Engine”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay
“Dual wheels adapter set for willys jeeps Used New old stock . 5.37″ wide approx .Included 5 left and 5 right thread studs .Has no markings on adapters, paint has minor scratches.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $800.
(05/09/2017) This looks like a deal.
“Matching set of Willys duel rear wheel axles (posi trac) off of Factory rack body Willys F.C. 170. This is probably the last set of these that you will find. I also have many other Willys parts for wagons, pickups, jeepsters, J-Series, C.J’s, Etc. Etc”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
It’s probably had some side panel work done.
“Fun Jeep to drive, clear title, 4 wheel drive with high and low range transmission. Drive on or off road. Duallys look like is a factory option. They add roll over stability on slopes and hills, and less rutting in mud. Have owned for 25 years, I do think the miles listed is likely correct as I bought it from a golf course. Vehicle does wander some at higher speeds on road, and wipers don’t work. May have minor amount of additional miles (less than 100) when sold. NO RESERVE”
UPDATE: See more information on the Rapport, Flox Foy, and Welliver adapters here.
I’ve spent the past couple days working through the selective hub relationships between Free-Lock (Denver, CO), Dualmatic (Longmont, CO), Husky (Longmont, CO), White Manufacturing (Colorado Springs, CO), and Cutlas Tools & MFG (Vinton, IA). During that process, I ran across more information about dual wheel adapters for the jeep. I thought it might be worth listing the one’s that have been documented. Perhaps someone has more information??
1. Max Rappaport’s hubs: A patent on these hubs was filed in 1947 (awarded in 1953), making them the earliest known hubs. Max Rapportaport was the President of Northwestern Auto Parts Company (aka NAPCO).
This December 1947 NAPCO ad promoted the hubs:
This July 1948 Popular Mechanics ad might be advertising the same dual wheels, but rebranded as “Du All” Converters. The design looks very similar to the Rapport models:
2. Welliver Jeep Dual Adapters No. 3000: These adapters were available by 1949 and sold by the Welliver Machine Shop. This April 1949 ad from Popular Mechanics provides a documented date.
Thanks to Stefano Oddo, we have this brochure regarding these adapters:
3. Hickey Dual Adapters: Vic Hickey developed his higher compression head, giving jeeps a power upgrade option. Then, he designed a set of dual wheel adapters. The first documentation I could find on his adapters was this July 1952 article in Popular Science about his hubs.
The next month, this ad appeared in the August 1952 issue of Popular Science:
This Photobucket page has some good close up photos of the Hickey adapters. Continue reading
Seller has two FC-170s for sale. The Busy Bee FC is the dually. Neither have titles. Both run and drive and seller indicates he has spent $8k on mechanicals on both. The bodies aren’t perfect. Seller planned to get bonded titles, but has decided to sell them instead. Contact seller via schuh1us@hbci.com. Seller also has an M-38 for sale.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $800.
Craig spotted this chassis that’s listed as a 1958 CJ-5. If this has dually adapters, it is definitely worth the price.
“1958 Jeep CJ5 stake truck frame and motor. We used the body on another project.
Dually. Does not run. Motor and drive train all there.
$800 obo”
Thank Craig for this find. If this has the hard-to-find-dually adapters, it’s a good price.
“1953 Willys pickup truck. Great restoration project or Hot Rod. Frame mostly good, one cross member needs to be replaced (I’ve found one on Ebay for less than $100). Cab floors need to be replaced. Cowl and cab corners in good condition. Engine was replaced some time ago with a Buick Dauntless 6. Engine does fire. Fuel lines no good, so only put fuel in carb to get it to fire. Bed in ok condition, but needs a lot of work. I bought this for parts for another one I’ve been rebuilding, but didn’t need anything off from it. It has a dual rear wheel kit. No title, bill of sale only.
Scammers need not reply. CASH only from your hand to mine. NO SHIPPING or third party deals”

I wonder what dually adapter is used.

Also we build a Duel rear wheel set up that can be removed it wanted.
PTO Witch ”
This was just listed over at jeeptruck.com. I think the seller is a little optimistic about the price. I’m wondering if he has a title, since he isn’t sure about the year or model.
“I have restored it about 70% and I think it is a FC170DRW year 1962. I think I have the very last one. It is a stub nose dual wheeled truck. I have pictures during the restore of the body and interior. The engine and transmission are the original. It has 43000 miles on it and runs good.”
UPDATE: Still Available.
(03/27/2016) “I have a 1956 wills jeep with dual rear wheels. Engine runs and drives but knocks and needs a rebuild. Frame is not rotted. Tires hold air. Plate steel custom made from the seats back, plow frame.Interesting little jeep, perfect platform for a yard truck or project rig. I have a video of it running. Don’t need to sell it just seeing what’s out there. No low ball offers. Worth the asking price considering how unique it is. Text any time.”
Craig spotted this one. Might have some value, especially if it has dually adapters.
“Here’s something you won’t see everyday – a 1951 Willys pickup that has (we think) a 1948 Chevy dually diff with a pto powered dump bed powered by a ’50s Ford Flathead V8 engine. What a Frankenstein. We actually spent a lot of time rebuilding the carb and distributor and getting it all set up. Ran like a champ for about a minute until a valve stuck. Heads are currently off, but machined and ready to reinstall. To make it easier we got another ’50’s Ford Flathead that turns freely and ought to run that goes with it as a spare.
It’s as unusual as they get. Body is fair. This could be a great yard truck with very little work.”

UPDATE:**SOLD**
I took a look at this. I can send some other pics (Ann took them, but she’s busy at the moment so I can’t add them). If you have questions, drop me an email or contact Frank (see info below).
Frank and I tried to start it, but it didn’t start. It turned over strong and I verified a spark. It was getting gas, so I suspected it was flooded (and it was very cold outside). After I left Frank told me he was able to start it. It has a four speed and comes with an extra four speed (unsure of condition).
The front floors have a few holes as seen in the pic below (passenger side). I did not find any holes in the back rear corners.
Frank told me his brother had several jeeps. He may have assembled this DRW out of some of those parts or it may have been assembled by the previous. The issue is the serial number of 61568 23017, which, as I understand it, is a for an FC-170 rather than a Dually. Were FC-170s converted at the factory? I didn’t check for serial numbers and didn’t learn about the serial number issue until after I left.
From original ad: This FC is being sold by Frank King. The jeep runs and drives, but does need a spray of starter fluid to get going. The owner fixed up the exterior, but didn’t touch the interior. It includes an FC-170 bed that wouldn’t have been original to the dually. You can contact Frank at 509 999 6544 or email him at Frankckingatty@aol.com.
In the photo below there appear to be other jeep parts besides the bed.
How about the duallies on this rig.
“1959 Willy’s wagon complete , great project comes with ’59 parts rig , clean title parts rig has PTO”
UPDATE: **SOLD**
“FC-170 DRW in need of restoration. This truck is all original, it’s mostly complete, but the motor is currently disassembled. It has it’s original 6-cylinder 226 Super Hurricane. This has the T-98 4-speed transmission and a dual-cylinder hydraulic dump bed. It is 4×4 and has a PTO off the trans to drive the pump. It rolls, but doesn’t stop or drive. You will need a trailer. I’ve got too many other projects going and won’t ever get to this one. I have the title. ”
