“Complete frame off restoration on 1946 CJ2A. This is an early column shift. Jeep was taken down to bare metal for a complete nut and bolt restoration. Absolutely every bit of rust was removed. Engine, transmission, differentials, transfer case, brakes etc were all rebuild. New brake lines, new everything.
We used every non wear part and sourced original Willy’s/Jeep parts we could to keep it as original as possible. Correct pasture green color with hand painted wheel stripe just as it was when it came out of Willy’s. I have pictures of the restoration process. This auction includes hard to find rear PTO and Drum pulley implement. Soft top was hand made and includes original top bow set and doors with window surrounds. Your going to be hard pressed to find a finer example of an early 2A. Serious offers only this price is extremely fair and well under what was spent to restore.”

Up for sale is a 1947 Willys CJ2A serial #116959 that is finished as an MB style WWII Army military Jeep. The accessories that are shown in the photos are also included, which include fire extinguisher, shovel, helmet, 1945 trench shovel, replica grenade crate, three military bags, pistol belt and canteen, bridge plate (removable), jerry gas can, door safety straps, and soft canvas top.
This jeep is ready to be driven and can be enjoyed today. It is great in Parades, errands, and road trips. I use it currently for trips to the hardware store and Walmart. You get lots of looks and high fives. This is a Fun jeep! This is NOT a frame-off restoration. I take good sound jeeps, fix and upgrade where it needs it, and finish them to military.

“This is an exceptional 1947 Willys Jeep CJ2A. It is completely original with only 18,668 documented miles. It is painted it’s original colors of Normandy Blue with Luzon Red trim. It is equipped with WARN OVERDRIVE and lock out hubs. It is capable of 62 MPH and gets 31 MPG. Original equipment includes drawbar, 11 ” brakes, chrome package, turn signals and electric wipers. Recently installed new parts include shocks, springs, seals , bushings and steering stabilizer. The vinyl top is in very good condition. This show winner is also an excellent driver. It is being offered for sale by it’s second owner due to a need to downsize his vehicle collection. Valuable owner/service manuals and sales literature are included in this sale.”

After WW2, Willys started to produce vehicles that could be multi-purpose. They wanted to build a truck that could complete with a tractor on the farm, so there were a bunch of factory options you could order the truck with.
This one has a factory installed hydraulic lift on the back. This was so you could pull a plow ( which comes with the truck ) or any number of other accessories. It could be disconnected if desired though.
The Jeep also comes with the rear seats and tailgate which could be installed if the hydraulic hitch is removed. “

“The Jeep has never undergone a full restoration, but Willys America in Sonoma County worked on it to improve safety and drivability. Some of the engine and body work include new, replaced, or repaired components, such as wiring harness and cable, leaf springs, shocks, 12V system, fuel tank, clutch, hoses, brakes, fuel tank, and many more components. Receipts available for inspection. The jeep has several dents, scrapes, and rust spots. The windshield wipers do not work. There is no top. It is not a show vehicle, although fun to drive. “Fully restored 48 Willys CJ-3a (Flatfender). Just over 2,700 miles since completion. Well over 1,800 hours of love and care to make this Willys one of finest flatfenders you will ever find. It has been lovingly frame off restored. Every nut and bolt replaced during the restoration a few years ago. Features Dana 25 Front Axle, Dana 44 Rear Axle (we believe), Dana T90 Transmission, Warn overdrive, Dana 18 Transfer Case, Ford 200 inline 6 cylinder (for more power compared to the original 4 banger).
New steering box, new tilt steering column, new gauges, new clutch, new brakes, new Rancho leaf springs, new Warn hubs, new front bumper, new rear bumper, new wheels and tires, new lights, new wiring, and on and on. The highback seats (with seatbelts) are certainly not what came OEM from Willys but are certainly way more comfortable. Rear Bestop seat functions well and has seatbelts for the kiddos (safety first).
