I’m guessing that incomplete sign in the last pic was for Super Shell gas at 32.9 cents per gallon. Wow, that was a long time ago.
I remember on a vacation on Highway 99 in central California when I was little my dad passing up a gas station that was 32.9 because “that is too expensive”. He was looking for 28.9.
I vividly remember a similar event in Moses Lake. My parents didn’t want to pay 62 cents for gas, but for some reason they had to buy it anyway.
Here in SA the fuel price is regulated by government and all have the same price……if only it was not.
