Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1953 Blue CJ3B currently has sbc under the hood. I believe it to a 327. I can’t confirm that because I’ve never run the numbers. I drove the cj onto my trailer when I originally bought it. I have a complete Hurricane ? for it. As you can see it is pretty much complete. I have clear Washington title in my name. In addition I have another nearly complete White Cj3b. “1964 Willys CJ-3B. The last year of the flat fender.
It had a frame-off restoration in 2006, to include a brand new tub. Overall, it runs great, is cranked once weekly and is a great driver. It has NO rust anywhere, which is a very rare find.
It’s not perfect – for most of us Jeep (and Willys) enthusiast, it’s as nice as you or I have seen, but the paint is not show quality. If you’ve been around them, you know it drips some fluids.
It does have a heater and newer canvas, and the interior is in incredible shape (will post more pictures).
What does it need? It currently has a Solex carb with a flat spot (still very manageable to drive). I have the correct Carter carburetor, but it needs rebuilt, which is a $250 or do dollar investment to have done right. It also comes with the PTO winch but does need a shaft.
Come take a look – you’ll be impressed. It comes with a clean title and bill of sale.”

(06/22/2021) Given the front clip, this might be a 3B chassis, though the Parkette body is a low-hood version.
The seller is correct about Paul Parker and the body. But, I believe this is the first version of this particular style that I’ve seen. It lacks the side stripe, has fender extensions, has a little different PARKETTE design on the back, has an extra wide lip around the rear, and looks like it has a side step. Very interesting.

“Rare, rare, rare. 48/49 Willys Jeep with Parkette fiberglass body. Believed only a handful made while Paul Parker was back in Georgia. This one is a bit odd as it doesn’t have the “line” above the fender but it does have flared fenders; the Willys nose panel is original equipment. Not sure it’s on the right size frame at the moment but we do have an original Willys bare chassis on the property we can work into the deal.
Engine/trans present. Very cool project. Needs finishing. No title. Bill of sale only. If the ad is up, the Willys is available.”

The original color on this Jeep is Spruce Green Tip. The top is in good condition. Floorboards are in good condition. Frame is in great shape.
