Willys Jeep Parts Various Pittstown, NJ

• CATEGORIES: Parts, toys This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

A few Jeep items up for grabs in NJ, a CJ Hood, CJ5 V6 Radiator and Frame, could be a good local resource to meet if you are nearby.

Some of the ads are older but these are all the same seller, so never hurts to ask, just don’t asl if the items are “Is this Still Available” that’s definitely a trigger word for some sellers!

May 2025 Update

• CATEGORIES: News This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

Welcome to May 2025, I know this update is a little close to the April one but I have a very busy month with some great projects I volunteer with in the month of May, so I wanted to take the time now to do this Months update.

I really appreciate the support from everyone for eWillys, things are getting worked out and we are moving forward.

Comments

So I did some digging into the comments and as expected nothing I can see has changed since before my time with eWillys.

EXCEPT: All permissions got deleted moving servers, including all approvals to post comments. Which was fully expected and normal its a brand new environment and no way to move those.

Please use the same name and email when commenting.

The way it’s set up is that enter your Name and Email then you post your comment, the first time you comment with that exact Name and Email it comes into the Authors or Admins inbox to review and approve the comment. It gets approved and posted.

Once approved one time the next time you visit use the same Name and Email and you will be able to post comments directly.

There are two additional work flows that we have decided not to go with,

  1. Logged in Users with passwords
    1. The login is a management deal with forgotten passwords and the sort that’s a hassle on the admin side.
  2. Allow anyone to just comment who is not approved one time.
    1. The allow anyone and everyone to post and comment out of the gate allows for tons of spam comments that has to be managed.

I looked back many years and don’t see the ability to add pictures to comments so I don’t plan on adding that to the site at this time.

Posts

If you need to send something over info@ewillys.com is up and running.

My preferred method to getting post information would be as follows, I use a unique number for my posts so that I can sort the list and I run a separate Word Document for the posts I run.

149 <Tim’s Internal Number, I use this to load the pictures using this ID number.

WWII Jeep Willys Chevy Flatbed $30 Greenville, SC <Title of the post, this is in the body and is the title of the post.

This looks pretty neat if you are in the local area.  <Your comments on the post.

Information from seller: < I have settled on this term to separate the Authors comments from the sellers comments. There are a number of reasons I have settled on this term, the word Seller, may change to Dealer or Auction House, or…….the title of the provider.

This is a diecast set of a 1941 Chevy Flatbed and Jeep Willys. Released in 2001 by Daimler Chrysler. The vehicles are in excellent condition. I don’t list an item as new if the package is opened. No shipping, cash only.   < Next I paste in the sellers terms good, bad, indifferent, I do make some small corrections but for the most part this is their text how they posted their item for sale.

https://www.facebook.com/share/1Fn3cndYmd/  < Add the link to the posting or reference material.

Here is how it looks with out all my notes:

Authors

Are you interested in being an Author for eWillys, please contact me @ info@ewillys.com, this is not something we are going to open the flood gates too, eWillys is not a Forum not looking to make it into one, there are so many great platforms that have great support systems and moderators for those sites.

There are no paid Vendor advertisers, yes we run AdSense its a necessary function of pretty much any website, I put a lot of thought into the ad placements and blocking ad’s that contain anything I would not want my kids to see, there is thought behind pretty much anything you see on here so please ask if something is off.

Some Additional Thoughts

We are kind of at a point where we don’t know of anything glaring that is wrong with the site transfer. If you see something say something at the end of the day we want you to have a positive experience and keep this great resource going. We have access to a great IT group of professionals at NetFire that are passionate about solving problems and providing solutions.

If you have a project and are looking to partner with a great host / solution provider please take a look at them.

NetFire

Some of the projects I work on in May……..

If you are interested and able in giving back a few hours and had a small group of Willys or Jeep friends, search out these types of local projects, they are great ways to spend a few hours together.

Hope in the Hills of Warren

MISSION STATEMENT

Seeking to put God’s love into action, Hope in the Hills of Warren brings youth and adults together to restore homes, community, and hope.

I have done this for about the past 12 years and its small home repair program for elderly, disabled, low income in a few communities in Warren County, NJ. We get a great group of volunteers that go out and together will work on about 20-25 homes in one weekend.

Hopefully by next year, I have my one 1963 Wagon and M-416 Trailer fully outfitted to do Hope in the Hills, that’s one of my long term goals and how that will tie back to the Willys content, it will be a mobile support rig for the crews is how I have it planned out.

Memorial Motor Madness

Save the Date!   5/25/25/  Memorial Motor Madness Car Show returns!    Hackettstown, NJ

Hackettstown Rotary puts on a great show each year at Mars Wrigley (M&M Factory) and its a great fundraiser for all sort of local projects. I have been able to volunteer the last 6 years when the show was held and its a great day with lots to do to keep busy and then you get to see a wonderful show.

We had a great Willys turn out last year, and I met a few folks who I have become good friends with and continue to keep in touch from the show and they have some really neat Willys.

Hope everyone has a great week.

Thanks, Tim

1965 CJ5 AUCTION Fresno, CA ENDS- 5-5-2025

• CATEGORIES: CJ5 This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

1965 CJ5 AUCTION Fresno, CA

ENDS- 5-5-2025 Good Luck to any prospective bidders.

Up for Auction is a 1965 CJ5, looks to have a stout winch and like most rigs on here many stories that are most likely lost to history only mentioned around a few buddies every couple of years.

Tim’s Take on Auctions

Find a friend who you trust and has been through the process, in other words not me. But in my opinion Auctions are a little tricky, I’ve so far not been a bidder or buyer, but I have sold at Auction and I think you need to compartmentalize at times the overall cost vs gain, move it down the road or toss it back on the trailer. Commit but be flexible enough to see the forest through the trees kind of deal, sometimes the rig is just is better off down the road and you move on, and it costs you a few Willys Bucks’ Total Cost of Ownership is not just the dollars in your pocket after your time has ended with the rig, there are lots of memories that are priceless, which is why I say get out there and meet up with some folks at some of these great events.

You really should read the Terms and Conditions directly on the Auction House website for how exactly the bidding works, including title transfer, ownership, type of title you are getting, is this even able to be put back on the road. I can keep going, but do your homework, and there will always be another Willys coming up for Sale very soon that my fit your needs better then something that has just caught your attention and is ending too soon to do your homework.

This auction has: Lots of hyperlinks to their T&C and processes, they are listed next to the various items at times.

  • Reserve Price
    • Minimum they will sell this lot for.
  • Max Proxy Bid
  • From this Auction Houses Link:
  • Understand proxy pre-bidding
  • IMPORTANT – You are asking us to represent you at an upcoming private auction and bid on your behalf only up to the limit you set here. Accordingly, you should submit your MAXIMUM bid prior to the pre-bidding deadline noted above. Remember, current bid amount at close of pre-bidding is not a good indicator of the ultimate sale price. Sellers may have a reserve price set and another bidder may have a max bid set much higher than the current bid shown. Bid realistically.
  • Auctions utilize a proxy bidding system, whereby the system can automatically bid up the minimum amount necessary for one to be the high bidder, but only up to the max bid amount entered here. If you do not enter your maximum bid, you will be at a significant disadvantage to those who do.
  • My take on it
    • You set your max price and they have a system that increments your bid to your max price, typically and not sure if this applies if you are below the Reserve price your first bid is going to go to the Max, so if its $25 to register to buy a vehicle get set up and the sort and your Max bid is $1200 and the reserve is $2500, your bid is going right to the $1200.
  • Minimum Bid
    • Lowest possible bid. (see above on the proxy max bid)
  • Buy it Now Price
    • They listed a price for you to buy it now.
  • Auction fees listed
    • Not sure if they go up past what’s listed read the T&C’s goes a long way.

So lot to unpack there and just beware of the total cost of the rig and how the increments work for the bidding.

Bring on the PICTURES ALREADY!!!!!

Willys Jeep CJ2A Auction Westfield, PA AUCTION

• CATEGORIES: Auctions, CJ-2A This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

CJ2A Auction Westfield, PA AUCTION

Date(s) 4/8/2025 – 5/14/2025

Hosted by Jelliff Auction and Realty, I feel this is a CJ2A with a CJ3A windshield, but I will defer and modify that determination, chime in and let me know if I’m wrong on that.

My reason for that is the ignition switch looks to be to the right side of the dash and it looks like it has longer leg frames on the seats,. There appear to be remnants of the bow holders as well possibly.
