This has an M-38 body. No description provided. The “WILLYS” branding on the hood is incorrectly placed. I’d have to guess that the hood is also from an M-38.

UPDATE: Price bumped to $7000. I’ve tried to locate another example of this kit car, but couldn’t. Some of these kit cars only sold a handful of products. For example, only four models of the VWeep (which doesn’t look much like a jeep) were produced.
(12/20/2019) Something different with a little jeep DNA.

“Here is a set of 15×10 Aluminum Slots that I took off of a 70 Jeepster commando years ago. They are in EXCELLENT CONDITION but do need cleaning. The bolt pattern is 5×5 1/2 and will fit big pattern jeeps and early Ford trucks from about 1972 and earlier. Again these as you can see are very very nice and it’s hard to find nice ones that have not been curbed and all dinged up. I will not ship”
UPDATE: Still Available. New pics provided.
(04/03/2020) This has an M-38 windshield, a CJ-2A grille, and a fiberglass body/front clip. It’s a project.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.
(03/25/2020) Has a solid looking Kelly hardtop and a Monroe Lift.
“Selling for a friend: 62 or 63(old title its a bit confusing) Tallhood Willys, with a 283 Chevrolet V8, JC Whitney bell housing adapter, half cab and three point hitch system. Comes with a snowblade. It does have rust, but it’s not a basket case. Hasn’t run in years, but it turned over briefly before the starter shat its pants. I might look about getting it running this weekend. Clean title. Lowballers need not apply, the lift system alone is worth at least grand by itself, and it ain’t eating nothing just sitting there. I ain’t looking to play twenty questions with this thing via messenger, if you’re interested, hit me up, and come look at it, maybe we can work out a deal.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was No Price.
The seller doesn’t provide a price, but does provide a p#.
“Anyone looking for a 1967 Kaiser Jeepster Commando Pickup or a 1969 Chevelle SS to tinker on during your alone time?? Let me know….thanks,”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5800.
Robin noticed that this doesn’t have a battery box; yet it does have all the other characteristics of an M-38A1 body (and does not have the CJ-5 body branding). Anyone have any thoughts as to why?
“Has hard top that can be removed new tired and brakes.”
UPDATE: This was listed as a 1957 in 2018, but is now listed as a 1955 model. Price bumped to $18,500.

This set of Kayline Soft Top brochures cover Kayline’s Delux Quality, Kaylux Quality, and Convertible soft tops. These brochures also suggest that, as of 1958, Kayline was not working with Kelly Manufacturing yet.
These brochures from the mid-1970s highlight the Ski/Luggage racks offered by Kayline. The top brochure also shows Kayline’s ‘Sunliner’ soft top, which features windows on the top’s roof to let in light and improve visibility.
This brochure page included actually swatches of the denim used in making Tan and Blue tops. I have a tan Kayline Denim convertible top, but have not compared the swatch to the top yet.
