Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. It’s a project with some updates.
“Early 50’s Willys Jeep M-38 project
I am not going to be able to finish this Jeep as I had hoped so I am selling it.
It has a 231 v-6 engine that has the HEI ignition. I have run the engine with pouring fuel down the carb and jumper wires, it sounded good and started right up.
It has a T-14 3 speed trans mission, and a single lever M-18 transfercase. the engine- trans assembly probably all came from a 70’s jeep.
It has a complete Rancho suspension, Rancho shocks and springs with about 2” lift and heavy duty Con-Ferr shackles
It has the one piece tie rod modification for better steering
It’s a big project or parts.
