The J-8 … I mean, seriously … the WWII J-8?

You are likely unfamiliar with the Willys Jeep WWII J-8.  Constructed in an underground bunker in Los Alamos by the same scientists who constructed the Atomic Bombs (they needed something to do on their days off) during WWII, this unique piece of WWII history wasn’t released until decades later by the folks at Chrysler.  (ok, so I made that last bit up — hey, it will be April Fools on Thursday — but I didn’t make up this Ad).

“Custom World War II Willy’s Jeep Army Edition J-8 Lookalike. Why shell out over $50K+ for an authentic Military J8 that you cant drive on the road when u can get this 4 door version for tens of thousands less? ….”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3000.

“1952 Willys Arctic Top Jeep. It has a good running Buick V6 from a conversion 15 years ago. It has a 3 speed manual T90 with Dana 20 t Casr. Dana 27 closed knuckle front axle and a 44 in the rear , both have 5.38 gears. Hudson steering conversion. It runs and drives good. Big 11″ drum brakes and A GREAT HEATER. Custom so it actually throws heat. SHE IS NOT PRETTY. made as a hunting rig so it is reliable and driveable. Top comes off in 15 minutes or so. OLD SCHOOL build all the way. Great rig. In the last year it has been driven to the Tricities and back. It is in Ellensburg now but I will drive it back tomorrow night. It is that good of a rig. Primitive and Jeepish. Trades: The only trades I will entertain would be an enclosed trailer 6 X 12 Minimum in size or a Honda CR500. Maybe a Supermoto if its got a plate. Thats it.”

It looks like 1 1/2 parts jeeps, but this may be a good price if the body isn’t too bad.

“Two Jeeps, one complete 49 CJ3a with clear tittle. Engine is moisture locked, but didnt run when it turned over. Drive train is fine, clutch, trans and tranfer case all functional, solid frame and body. The second unit has no body, but a complete running gear and motor. This motor has been been rebuilt with many new parts and a 12 volt system, but is also moisture locked, this frame is solid and has a complete PTO with shaft.”

1947 CJ-2A Morgan, Ut $2500

UPDATE: This is now listed for $1900

(03/11/2010) Brett spotted this.  It has been patched a bit, but it sounds like it still rambles around well.

“This is a 1947 Willys Jeep it runs and drives awesome. The 4 wheel drive works great it is a 3 speed manual. The interior has been rhino lined doesnt look bad. The gas tank has been moved to the back behind the seats. All the lights work. The tranny shifts smooth. The body doesnt have rust wouldnt take long to be ready for paint. The hood is not original it was made looks pretty good. The windshield is plxy glass. The tires are 31″ and are about 75% tread on them. The jeep has been up at the cabin since 1993 stored in the garage used in the summer. The motor is a Chevy 6 cylinder. The oil pan does leak but would be an easy fix. This jeep would be a perfect hunting vehicle or pull behind your motorhome or whatever. It does have the hitch on the front for pulling it around. If you have any questions feel free to call me 801-821-1464 thanks. If you do win the auction i will need a deposit within 48 hrs of the auction. Shipping prices will range from $300 to $800 depending on your location. I will help with loading of the jeep on a transporter if needed just let me know.”
