1946 Willys Jeep CJ2A Column Shift – $4,500 Tyngsboro, MA
Very detailed ad for an original looking CJ!
Pictures are pretty tiny, I tried to work with them a bit, but they just are what they are, there are a ton of them, which would have been nice to have larger versions.
Information from seller:
Very original CJ2A column shift for sale.
Use for parts or restore.
Serial# 33114, Body# 22889, Tailgate # 22889, Engine Serial # CJ2A 33975, the odometer reads 70143 miles, Column Shift is complete. All 3 dash tags, both firewall tags and frame tag….all match. Very unique that the body and tailgate (in great shape) numbers match. Body and floors will need addressing and as well as other restoration work.
Everything but the air filter, starter and generator is in the engine bay and includes original correct carb, Autolite horn, etc.
All original gauges, (temp works), carb 636SA with 12 patents. Keyed ignition with floor starter.
It has a Harrison heater,
Driver’s seat and passenger seat are in good shape
Comes with two windshields to make one. Comes with two additional tires.
The frame is in excellent condition, skid plate included and original bumper.
The condition of the engine is unknown, but is not stuck. It turns with a hand crank. The jeep’s serial # and engine # are so close that I believe that it’s the original early engine…which is a huge plus.
Comes with a Bill of Sale.

1946 Willy Jeep CJ-2A – $4,400 Bangor, PA
Neat little CJ local to me, not a horrible price had a cool top and plow set up, says the plow was added later. It definitely needs some work but from the bulk of photos the rig for being a NE PA rig is pretty solid. I can’t confirm this is a true ’46, but says it has a PA title that’s a ‘49. Mentions has the soft top frame.
Now lets not miss that very cool CJ/M38A1 in the background, now that has some cool graphics and a plow, cab, it’s really neat, that would be on my trailer for my building and to run back and forth to the Ace Hardware in town, that is really neat looking. Also one of those most likely LT1 Wagons, this would be a cool visit and lots to talk about.
Information from seller:
1946 Cj-2A Willys ……..Asking $4,400.00 cash only……..entire brake system replaced, tires, gas tank, re-wired and added electric fuel pump…..I added the plow, it wasn’t a plow truck and was only used a few times…….titled in my name though title indicated a ‘49, numbers match and serial number indicates a ‘46. Perhaps a wartime circumstance or motor vehicle mistake. I’ve owned 12 years and is registered and insured…..I bought from a friends estate who owned it for many years……frame solid and body good for its age…..

Willys MB Military WW2 Jeep Front and Rear Axles with Springs – $175 Lowville, NY
I’m not well versed in MB parts, so happy to get an assist and update the post, they are full floating axles so they could be the part. I know the MB stuff had some different adjusters for the shoes at times, there are some different looking shields on the front axles on top of the knuckles.
Let me know what you think.
As far as Axles go, these are nice looking for sure worth $175 all day long it’s a good deal if they are half decent inside. I don’t see the risk here for the price load and go, then figure it out at home, pop the covers and see what’s awaiting, I can smell it now, wonder why they don’t make an “Old Axle” candle scent, or even Old Spice folks out there, there is an untapped market here! (You don’t have to wonder why we will never match Dave in number of posts when I get down the rabbit hole on a set of $175 axles and the $80 Speedo, but these are decent looking parts to save!)
Information from seller:
Original Front and Rear Axles that were removed from a 1944 Willys MB WW2 Military Jeep. Leaf spring sets and steering tie rod assy. are included. $175 for all. Thanks for looking!

1949 Jeep Willys $10,999 Bozeman, MT
Steep on the price here IMO wow, but it is OBO, I would be so far apart on price would not toss an offer, but it’s good to see the rigs and what’s out there at times.
It does have a PTO winch out front, not sure on the exact set up here only a couple pictures handy to pull from.
I probably should have passed on posting this one, but here we go!
Information from seller:
1949 jeep Willy’s Runs needs work No gas tank Needs ignition Everything else seems to work Body is super clean Needs headlights $10,999 obo
1947 Willys CJ2A $3,200 Hays, KS
Andy’s Picks, this was a neat one sent by Andy, it is over a year old but the Ad is still up so we can grab some pictures for the record here. Looks like a really neat piece CJ2A with a Trencher, and it ties into the current request for anyone with more information on these, please see that post here…. This post may not be the exact same model, but I feel they all tie into each other.
WANTED MORE INFO ON JEEP-A-TRENCH
If we are going by the smaller tag it’s a 1948 CJ2A, not a ’47, but it looks really complete and should be a cool project for someone, or maybe it already is and they can see this and update us on any progress.
The way these trenchers work is really neat how the augers windrow the material off to the sides of the trench. I have not seen the reverse of these, anyone know if it back fills the hole by changing direction it looks like there are 2 augers on this set up?
Here is that cool video from France on the operation, couple ad’s to watch and its near the end of this link. This looks similar to the post, where as the Auburn Jeep-A-Trench looks a little different.
Additional Information about that video is posted here….
The small bump out on that back panel can be made out on the posted jeep below… then this is a good shot of that windrow effect, I see now that it pushes the material past the end of the auger. So my idea of it running backwards to fill the hole may not be how this works, but maybe they are still accepting design ideas??
Back to the post and pictures of the Trencher…..
Information from seller:
1947 Trencher jeep. Bill of sale only. Bought from a farm auction. Unsure of condition. Trencher appears complete. Comes with front bumper weight and complete governor.
https://www.facebook.com/share/1JHANa8YNz/
Good shot of the counter weight and some spare chain links, is it possible there are 2 trenchers in the pile here? Plus all the other weight from the chain and in that custom box help with some additional up front weight.
It may have been in the video and I could be way off but I feel I read there was 17HP to the rear PTO on this set up.
The leather effect of the patina I can feel that fender from here, this is similar to the Patina Willa Dean has, its not rust, its pretty great looking CJ! That is just perfectly weathered steel!
You can see that bump out panel like on the Video and pictures above, and there are 2 augers here, so makes one wonder for sure.
