It’s worth something, but unclear just how deep the rust is. Too bad it sat in the barn, because it looks pretty stock.

Willys Truck at Felix’s Fish Camp in Spanish Fort, Alabama

• CATEGORIES: Features, Last Ride, Willys Trucks

Bob’s down in Spanish Fort, Alabama, to photograph the Bowl on Sunday when Kent State battles Arkansas State.  Of all the events at that bowl, I’m thinking the coaches wives got the best gig:  lunch at Wintzell’s Oyster House (a good place to eat if Yelp is to be believed). Uh oh, now I’m hungry.  Anyway, while down there, Bob spotted this poor old truck at Felix’s Fish Camp (another good place to eat).  It appears rooted permanently to the beach.  Of course, he thought of us ….

About the truck Bob says, “I looked under the hood and the truck still had the straight 6. Frame was almost rusted in half and the top was gone on the truck. Pretty cool though!’

1950? CJ-2A Odessa, TX $1000

It’s a project.  Seller has labeled this a 1950.

“Hello I have for sale a great classic Willys jeep. It was produced in 1950. As you can see it is not in the best of shape. It is definately a project for someone. These willys jeeps are timeless classics. Unfortunately I know nothing about it. I got it from a friend of mine in a trade. I was going to fix it up but I just dont have the time. I am asking $1000 cash. Which I think it very much worth it for this classic jeep. If you are interested in coming to take a look at it. Please give me a call at 432-two0two-6719. Names mark..Jeep has a clean clear title as well.”

1942 GPW Barnesville, GA **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: GPW (Ford MB), Last Ride

UPDATE: Was on eBay. **SOLD**

A little duck tape and some bailing wire and this is good to go!

“I’m selling a ’42 GPW, GPW 23679 D.O.D. 4-29-42 I bought this one for parts for myself and now have no need for it. Figured I would list it here vs. taking it to the scrapper!

The frame is in good shape, the front horns are the best I have ever seen! just the Bubba bumper on the front and the civi attachment on the rear

The tub has rot on the left rear where the tail light hole and tool box floor would have been (I’m including a tool box section from another tub) floors need to be repaired/replaced- tool box lids are in good shape, but as mentioned before the tool box’s are themselves rotted….. the pioneer tool area is in good shape, some rot but repairable, dash was cut by previous owner to remove the guages but is included and can be stitch welded back in, glove box was also removed by PO and had the original tags on it ( will give you his contact info if you need it) this one was early enough to have a flat bottom on the glove box and could be easily fabricated. Driver seat is a small mouth gas tank seat but the seat back was modified with another frame, passenger seat is F marked but will need new swivel mounts/ feet. Fenders are in decent shape, support channels are not rotted out like you typically see but the do have there share of dents and bends in them.Hood is original to this jeep, is F marked and in decent shape, some rot on the support. Its missing the left axle shaft in the pics but I have a Willys one I will include, the front left hub is off in the pics as well but is included.”

1942 GPW Florida **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: GPW (Ford MB), Last Ride

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay

“Up for your consideration is a 1942 Ford GPW. Willys and Bantam also made these type of Jeeps. This unit went into service November 30, 1942. Not sure of any history during service however, I did research and found this GPW was sold at a WAA auction September 11. 1946 in Jacksonville Fl. From what I know a neighbor of my Grandparents went to Jacksonville on that day and purchsed this GPW. He used it as a hunting vehicle around our rural area. He was an avid bird hunter with trained dogs so he cut the rear of the tub out and moved it forward to act as a divider between him and his bird dogs. The GPW was parked at sometime in its life under a pole barn for what appears was head gasket change. Unfortuneately, it was never reassembled. After the mans death is sat many more years until new owners of the farm tore down the barns and this GPW was put out to pasture (literally). I aquired the GPW after it sat outside for about a year. Pictures speak louder than words so please look closely and ask any and all questions prior to bidding. The windshield, cylinder head, and hood (possibly other items) were not able to be found. I will include a link to a photobucket album for more pictures. The GPW has a lot of the Ford Script parts such as fuel filter, radiator cap, pintle hitch and probably much more. One item that is very unique is a period correct watch faced engine hour meter. . . . More on eBay”

Year? CJ-2A Donaldson, AR $500

• CATEGORIES: CJ-2A, Last Ride

Hard to say if there is much value here or not.

“Willys jeep cj2 complete original except it has a front cap off of a willys truck or station wagon. Engine will turn over if you pull it but the starter is bad. Probably doesn’t have much compression. Not for sale for scrap, I don’t want it recycled into a toyota fender. Buy it for parts for the one sitting in your back yard.”

1952 CJ-3A Burton, OH $350

• CATEGORIES: Last Ride, M-38

Only habit is holding this body together.  Still, for $350, there might be value.

“Up for sale is this Willys CJ-3A Jeep. I believe it is a 1952 based on my research on the serial number, but there is NO TITLE so I am not positive. This is a true barn find, actually the barn was much nicer than the Willys (lol). It is complete but in very poor condition. The hood and grille are the only body pieces that are in decent condition, the body tub and cab are rotted. The flat head engine is seized because whoever stopped working on the engine 30 odd years ago left three of the four spark plugs out. The transmission goes into all gears and the thing rolls so the differentials are free too. I am guessing that the transmission, transfer case, drive shafts and differentials are all serviceable with some refreshment (new fluids, grease, seals and such). There is no tailgate. The frame is rusty too and may be too weak to be usable. Basically what you see is what yu get. This is a perfect parts vehicle for your project as it is completely intact and all of the little parts that nickel and dime you are here. The only obvious things missing are the seats, the passenger seat was gone when I found it and I am keeping the driver’s frame for my project.

Do not e-mail or text me, I will not respond. Do it the old fashioned way, talk to me! Call Gary at 440-728-0057 BETWEEN 3 pm to 11:30 pm ONLY. Thanks for looking, good luck in your search.”

1963 FJ-3 Victor, NY **SOLD**

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.

Glenn forwarded this.  I think a piece of the glass is good .. lol.

“Absolute sale NO RESERVE! No extra fees. I have most of a 1963 Jeep FJ-3 Fleetvan. Although missing the back it is a rare vehicle perfect for a parts vehicle. It is a parts vehicle. There is no title or registration to this. The vin plate is still attached to the Van with a dry cheap white paint coating it. I used my finger nail to expose the numbers. The steering, suspension and brakes for the front appear to be all there. The motor and transmission are there but I am not sure of their condition. The back of this Fleetvan is missing. The Postal Code is P.O.D-6-2-8208 and the manufacture Vin Code is 14955. The Jeep FJ-3 Fleetvan was a compact delivery van manufactured by Willys Motors and Kaiser-Jeep from 1961 to 1965. This FJ-3 is equipped with the F-134 Hurricane engine that is a 4 cylinder F-Head. Borg-Warner Automatic it looks like. The FJ-3 is only 135 inches long and is rated for 1000 pound payload. If you know of somebody that has one of these, PLEASE let them know so they can have a chance to get a parts Van. I’m sure they will appreciate that. Sold As is with no waranty or returns of course. I have jacks and stands to help load this up.”

1953 CJ-3B Milan, NH Make Offer

• CATEGORIES: CJ-3B, Last Ride

The jeep’s odd perspective makes it look like it is slowly melting into the ground. The passenger side is crooked, the fender is collapsing, yet the grass around it is growing and vibrant.  It seems a tribute to Salvador Dali.  If that thing (flatbed trailer?) wasn’t in the background this could be a beautiful picture.

“Parts jeep.  Will not part out, if u want something off of it, please take all. Best reasonable offer.”
