Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Roger spotted this one. Anyone recognize this toy with snow plow and trailer?
“Vintage toy army Jeep with detachable plow and trailer. Solid steel design. Can’t find any manufacturers marks. Looks to be all original. Has toggle switch for headlights maybe?? I don’t know a whole lot about it so if you know more about it please let me know. I am asking $350 but will entertain all cash or trade offers.”

“Jeep Red Cross Wooden Tole Toy Western Front 1945 Jeep “Red Cross” in wood and tole made by US Army for the french kids to the Libération of France. 2 wheels are missing included spare wheel, the front axle was replaced. 8 5/8″ length, 4″ width, 4 3/8″ height.”

It looks in pretty good shape.

Thanks to Joe-in-Mesa for spotting, then buying/mailing me this great find out of an antique shop. He snagged it for $35. I’m happy with that price. It needs one of the windshield support arms fixed and some repainting, but otherwise it is in good shape.
After doing some research on eBay, I’ve discovered this one is a little different than the ones listed there or on the CJ-3B page. Those all seem to have a central hole in the back that’s used for pulling a trailer (see examples at the bottom of the post). Instead of a hole, this one has two slots (I found one other with two slots).
Looks like it’s been fixed up.
