Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “For sale 1946 Willys cj-2a. All original. It has the 4 cylinder flathead,3 speed transmission and hi and look transfer case. It has lockouts for the front end. Radiator has been rebuilt. The jeep runs and drives good. The brakes work good as well. Fuel tank is newer. Tires are like new on original 16 inch wheels. I have a new clutch, pressure plate and throwout bearing that goes with it. The throwout bearing is starting to make noise.Body is in good condition. It’s a nice flat fender. It has a clear Missouri title.”

Listed as a 1948, it is an early-ish 1946.
“Grandfather’s old Willy’s. Probably needs everything. No idea If or where a title might be. More pics and parts listed under auto parts. Tore down the lean to it was in. We don’t know what year it is and didn’t even know it was in there. It is complete but will need restored. Have two extra front cowls with windshields we will sell seperate. 1963 license are still on it so a Title exist somewhere but a inheritance of one or two generations would make it hard to come up with. Any of you Willys people that know what the proper description of it is please send me a text. For some reason one L in willys is what the computer wants to use.”

It has been fun, but it has to go.
Currently installed is a small block 350, not running, it was, you can figure it out.
No battery, bring your own, if you want to turn it over.
I have a better early 283 small block engine that also goes with it.
Orginal T18 transfer case with real Warn overdrive, yes she will easily do over 65.
Turbo 350
Larger than orginal axles, I think they are Dana 60’s, but I do not remember.
Extra stuff that goes with it.
The extra motor, early 283, good little motor. I took out this running, to put in the 350, I should have stayed with the 283 motor.
Extra 47 non cut up frame.
1980’s bellhousing, 4 speed, transfer case from 3/4 pickup.”

Glass needs replacing on cab.
“For Sale Sold AS IS is a vintage Koenig Iron Works half cab model i believe #555 for early CJ Style jeeps. We pulled this top off a 1948 willys jeep.. The Jeep it came off of is in fair shape but top is ready to be restored for your jeep project. These cabs were very well made. If you have questions about the cab please email me and I will try to get you the best answers I can. 1 window has glass that needs to be replaced on a door and the rear window as well. It does come with a neat Dietz Stop Brake light that have good value to them.”
