Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Listed as a 1951 body, it might be an aftermarket body. It’s got the solid back and a civilian floor, but lacks a gas tank outlet on the rear, which means it isn’t a DJ-3A convertible or surrey body. It might be an aftermarket body.

No engine, trans or t-case.
Roller tires and wheels.
D27 front, D44 rear. Body tub is not perfect at all, but in pretty good shape overall for its age.

I have had it for about a year now and I just don’t think I’m going to get to working on it. It’s been under cover since I’ve had it.
These are fairly rare and hard to find. Although I am open to reasonable offers, once you’re standing in front of it, I will not even listen to stupid low ball offers.
Cash in person only, the only trade I would be interested in is a good clean working Hot tub or more jeep stuff.
If you decide you want it, you will have to come back for it. It is buried behind a couple of others and I will need some time to get it out to the driveway.

The tub is very rusty but would be good for parts. 134 cu in Go Devil 4 Cylinder Engine, 3-speed Borg Warner T-90 Transmission, Dana 18 Transfer Case, Dana 25 Front Axle and Dana 44 Rear Axle. Everything is there except the fuel tank. There is no title for a vehicle of this age in Alabama. I will sell the Engine, transmission and transfer case separately for $1000. I found these docs on eBay. They are basic pricing sheets for the DJ-5 and DJ-6 (non mail-jeep looking versions). Though I don’t see specifics, I think these used the T-96 tranny.
