Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This is an unusual item. Check out the adapter added to the rear of the intermediate transfercase shaft. Anyone recognize what that is? Also, if the engine really is cast aluminum, than this is a good deal all around. The seller also has a 1946 CJ-2A for sale ($9000), but I didn’t see an ad for it.
