Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1960 CJ3B. Red, originally white. Very good shape, runs very well. Needs nothing. ZERO RUST. Soft Top Bikini Top, Jeepster wheels, carpet, optional heat, over drive. Brand new brake shoes, cylinders. 12 volt conversion, generator rebuilt in 2013. Fresh oil change. Original hard top with doors comes in sale. Original hurricane 4-cylinder motor. 66,xxx actual miles. My father bought this brand new in Austin Texas and he owned it until 2009, at which point I obtained it when he was no longer able to drive. So this is a one family jeep for 57 years. It has been a driver, not a show car so it has the occasional scuff and the old radio no longer works.
Always stored indoors and presently in my garage where it has been parked every night. Clear and clean VA title in my name. Open to offers, cash speaks loudly. I am not forced to sell this Jeep so I won’t entertain any low ball offers. NADA has an average retail value of $14000 which I think is off (too high). This is very much an above average Jeep for a below average price. The final two pictures are one of me in the Jeep circa 1977 and one of my sons circa 2013. All of the other pictures were taken 6/3/17 with more to come. I can get pictures of whatever is requested.”

“The jeep was purchased from a Willys collector (second owner) in 2012 for $10,000 plus a jeep for which I paid $2,000, with $7,000 added since.
The original owner was in Western Oregon.
I wanted an original, green,Willys, with original paint, but not with the rust like most on the market. More than 50 jeeps in different States were considered before finding this one. The engine, transmission and Warn overdrive had been rebuilt when I purchased it with a roll bar. There are 25,153 miles on the jeep now.
The license plate designates the vehicle as a collectible, so you don’t need to pay for yearly tabs.
These are the additions since 2012; they were professionally done. Most receipts were kept:
Brakes, master cylinder, hoses, and wheel cylinders $1,114
Wheel bearings packed, replaced hub seals and tie rod $550

The Willys F4-134 Hurricane is an inline-4 piston engine and powered the famous Jeep CJ in the CJ-3B, CJ-5, and CJ-6 models.
The tires are in very good shape.
Includes electro-hydraulic plow lift and a modest plow blade.
The gas tank has been updated to a newer plastic exact fit replacement.
I have owned her since 1984. Many, many awesome memories. I moved to a new house and just do not have the driveway space anymore. She might be rusty, but the engine is ready to go.”

Narrowed Dana 44 front (Open). Custom drag link with one ton rod ends. Power steering (Saginaw). Holbrook Specialties extended leaf springs. Wilwood hyd. clutch w/swing pedals. Original body tub. All rust has been repaired with new floors and relocated battery where tool box used to be under pass. seat. Rino lined inside tub and underside. Frame painted with POR-15. 15 gallon fuel cell. Warn 8000 pound winch. Bikini top. Two sets of wheels. List goes on. This jeep has had full frame up build and low hours since completed. Well over 10K in receipts. Serious buyers only.
