“1953 Willy’s M38A1 Military Jeep, Serial Number 63413, 1/4 ton, 4×4, showing 7712 miles, runs and drives as it should, all original except for after market lights to legally travel on the highways, a few switches on the dash and comes with a nice top and doors. Frame, and floor panels are rust free, original front and rear seats are in excellent condition. Also comes with clean Pa title, decals, and Military Service Manuals. Would not take much to make this Willy’s historically correct. Only 10,040 were produced that year. Inspections are welcome.”

“This is a 1953 Willys military jeep. It is not perfect but has been saved and redone in many areas. Mechanically good it runs and drives. The carburetor has been rebuilt and the jeep has new batteries. The 24 volt military electrical system in intact and most work. An electric fuel pump has been installed. Sure it is old and not a high speed truck. But rolling history in relativly good condition.”
Not a bad price given the amount of work that’s been done. Still, it’s only a 2WD vehicle. It does have a good looking Kelly hardtop.

“Selling my late husbands project car. Numerous up grades were started but never completed. The jeep also comes with several parts that were purchased or came with the jeep. New tires and spare, $2000.00 of work on engine, $700.00 for Media blasting paint and rust off rear and front seats, and numerous new parts (too many to mention) suspension work I paid for after his passing. I do have paperwork on the vehicle but it was never registered. Please only serious buyers. I do have a trailer for delivery in the area.”
Seller has removed a layer of blue paint which revealed olive drab. Otherwise, I would have thought this was an Air Force jeep. Maybe used by the Army, then. the Air Force?

“1953 M38A1 Willys Jeep. It is pretty much original though the electrical system has been converted to 12 volts. The brakes have been rebuilt and the tires are new. The canvas top is laying in the back on the floor. The exterior and interior were painted blue and the seats are upholstered in blue. I was going to freshen up the exterior paint. The blue easily came off with sanding leaving the original olive drab and markings. To restore it back to olive drab will take more time and energy then I have so it is for sale. Asking $6000.”
This appears worth a look.

“Owned for over 20 years and driven very little.
Mileage 31,402
Runs very well. Very little rust.
I added one leaf spring to all 4 wheels. (The springs can easily be removed.) I put on muffler and dual exhaust. Reupholstered seats. I put 2 new 12-volt batteries in last year. Tires are in pretty good shape.
Look at pictures!
No tire kickers; serious inquiries only.
I listed the condition as “good” only because the vehicle is 66 years old, but I consider the condition as “very good””
One of these runs; the other is a parts jeep.

“$500 and 15 hours and it can be running and driving great. We parked it when we were putting a tune up on it about 4 years ago. Points were bad and then I got sidetracked.
It is 24 volt. It does seem to be all original.
After you, Grease it. Batteries. Coil, fluids and it’s close to on it’s way. This isn’t a big project. It’s some minor repairs and you’re off. Tires are excellent.
Bill of sale only. Spell it Willys. Willy’s. Jeep.
Not a cj5 cj7.
Military
Almost no rust through. It has been restored before. Surface rust where the paint has worn.
I have a bunch of other pictures detailing the body. “
Solid looking M-38A1.

“Very stock original parts: CA and AZ owned. Basically rust free, small surface rust here and there.
Starts, runs and drives as it should. 4×4 engages easily. Most gauges work, voltage not always.
Has solid bolt on roof, doors, and glass not currently mounted that comes with it.
This is not the jeep to put a V8 in and build your dream rock crawler.
Unbolt the roll bar and change the tires and its back to stock.
In the first three months of 1953, Willys built the new improved military Jeep with three distinct differences.
Early 1953 have two piece front fenders, front grill has two hinges for easy maintenance, and the hood battery cover has four straps not the two that all others have. By April 1953 changes were made and those three characteristics were dropped.
Title in hand, currently on CA non-op Zero snog needed, Zero back DMV costs
Looking to trade for something sporty and I’m willing to add cash to the deal up to 10k.”
