I’ve been looking for a cj2a for the last couple of months and had not really considered the dj series. They are not listed as often, but might be an option. If anyone with experience would share their observations, I would appreciate it.
One upside is less maintenance issues. The lack of four wheel drive means less weight and less mechanical parts. The ground clearance alone will get you most places, especially if you just want to drive around town, on dirt roads and non-difficult 4wd places.

I now own 2 1956 DJ-3A convertibles (convertibles have a solid back meaning no tailgate and a few other unique aspects) that I bought after this post, so I can comment further on the unique aspects of them.
