Needs some paint, but is supposed to be solid. I can’t tell if this was originally a lefty or not.
“1948 Jeep CJ2A
Very good condition, tub has no rust. Engine has been gone through, runs strong. Trans, transfer case and both rear ends good and serviced. All new brakes, lines, etc. Converted to 12 volt. New gear reduction starter. New water pump. All wiring redone. Even the origional horn button works. Full canvas. Rear seat but needs upholstery. As you can see probably needs a paint job. Two sets of tires, one origional army tread the other are town & country tread.”
Appear solid, but no overall pics provided.
“Out standing 1947 willys jeep CJ2a. Perfect hunting or farm jeep. rebuilt with all the necessary updates to make this reliable, and roadworthy.”
Looks like it runs and drives. Body is rough.
“1947 JEEP WILLY 4X4

“Willys CJ2A Jeep With Aluminum Top / Doors
Great Project – Complete – ( No Title – Bill OF SALE ONLY )
4cyl – Stick Shift Trans – Cool Old Jeep

This is a Project or Great Parts Car.”
One runs and one doesn’t.
“I have two Willys CJ-2A flat fender jeeps for sale, a 1947 and a 1948. Both have PA titles in my name. The 1947 runs, drives and stops. The body is pretty rough, but complete. The floors have been replaced. There are rust holes in the tub and the top of the fenders. The frame appears solid. The brake system was replaced along with several other parts. It has good tires. The 1948 is complete, but does not run. The body is much cleaner than the 1947, mostly just surface rust, a few holes. The frame appears solid. The motor was seized and has since been disassembled. To get the motor out, I removed the hood, grill and fenders. All the parts were tagged and bagged. I have a spare motor, a set of gaskets and a new steel fuel tank. I am interested in selling one or both. I may consider parting them both out, as I expect they are worth more as parts than whole. Asking $4000 for both, basically $2000 each”
It’s a project.
“1947 Jeep CJ2A. This is a parts Jeep. Everything is there, but tub is very rusty. Engine is complete. If you’re restoring one then you need this one for extra parts. Can assist with loading.”

“Hate to see this go, but I don’t have time for it and I started a new project. This is a 1946 Wilkys titled Jeep, custom suspension with a modified YJ frame. 38″ tires, beadlock aluminum Wheels, full roll cage, 5 point harness and a rear mounted radiator. It’s powered by a fuel injected Chevy 350. As is for the asking pice. Leave the wheels and tires behind and I’ll knock it down to $7000. I have to retrieve it from storage for it to be looked at so serious buyers only. No low-ballers and no scammers. I don’t NEED to sell it, I just don’t need to keep it and I figure it’s time for the next person to enjoy it. Cash only. Local only. Has a clean title.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $3800
(03/18/2014) Listed as a 1945 CJ-2A, I don’t see anything left that would indicate this is a 1945.

“This jeep is a 1947 Willys CJ2A. It is in very good condition. It still has the original 3 speed manual transmission in it but the motor is a ford straight six. It had been sitting for over a year until recently cause it had a lot of rust in the fuel tank and I didn’t want to drive it like that. I removed the fuel tank and put a temporary tank out of my 4 wheeler to get it running. It will need a new fuel tank which is around $150.00 also the carburetor could use a tune up and the brakes are original and they could use a little work. Last week I out a new fuel line, fuel filter, water pump, thermostat, changed the oil and filter, and flush the radiator with new coolant. I bought it to take in parades and hit some trails with the kids but just haven’t had the time. I absolutely hate to see it go but i would like to have a newer jeep to get back and forth to work. If you got any questions or would like to take a look at it let me know. I am asking $5,500 or would be willing to trade for a newer jeep.”
UPDATE: Was $2200. For trade.
(03/17/2014) Needs work.

“For sale is my 1946 jeep willys cj-2a

New plugs, wires, starter, coil, exhaust, timing belt, carb was rebuilt last year. Selling to find other projects. This vehicle is not appropriate for street use, needs blinkers and a windshield. Brake lights and headlights work great.“

(05/14/2012) Normally I think flatties that are stretched in the middle look a little odd. However, this looks to me like a stretch well done. I like the price on this too.
“Have lots of fun in this 1946 willys jeep. It has a V-6 motor, automatic transmission, power disc brakes. drives great and looks great.I have had this jeep about 9 years it is very reliable.”

(06/24/2014) Lots of work done on the Chassis. Note that the front of this body has been lifted, probably to fit the engine underneath.
“This is titled in Oregon as a 1949 CJ-3A Willys. It does have split windshield which I believe is from a 2A Williys. It has been under work for the last 4 years and is mostly finished. I have too many other projects and so I am going to sell it so someone else who can enjoy it more than I will be able to. The jeep has been taken down to the frame. It has a brand new rebuilt V6 engine. I have gone through the transmission but it does pop out of 2nd on occasion.
