I think this origin story is false. This Allison Parliament person claims she started it, but I recall seeing the Jeep ducking thing well prior to 2020. I lived in GA 2014-2016 and I recall seeing “ducked” Jeeps during that period and thinking, “what the heck is this Jeep duck thing all about.” Anybody else recall Jeep ducks prior to 2020?
I thought I had seen that as well, and thought I had even written about it, but when I did a search of eWillys I didn’t find anything.
I did a variety of google searches just now, but could not find a reference to ducking a jeep prior to 2020.

I don’t remember the year but someone left one on my 1957 FC 150 at a farmers market in Phoenix Arizona and it was before 2020.
Duck, Duck, Jeep.
I got ducked this weekend in my newly restored M38A1.
I was having my usual Sunday morning outing to our nearest MacDonalds (a quaint Scottish bistro, ever heard of it? 🙂 ) and it was on my seat when I returned.
I would have like to have seen who did it to thank them!
