Seller will not deal long distance. Looks like an early MB body given the missing glove box.
“i have a 1940’s jeep willy for sale. as you can tell it needs a lot of work. motor and transmission are complete. this vehicle has been parked for 25 years the transmission had locked up. it is a 4×4 i do not have a title for this vehicle but am willing to write a bill of sale. $700.00 cash price is firm.”
I wish it was closer to me. It needs to be saved owner wont entertain cash payment and shipping company pickup.
Seems like a good deal, should be $700 in parts. Willys script tub with a “W.A. Bechtel” reconditioned tag on it.
The dash setup would be a 41 slat grill. Has a later grill. Maybe changed during rebuild. Not too far from me. May have to check on this one.

Talked to the owner yesterday morning, he was waiting on a conformation before me, text later he sold it to the guy, serving in Afghanistan at the moment. Not to bad a body for an early script slatt plus the rebuilt tag a bonus, good buy for the price.
