“1946 Bantam Trailer in good condition. Not very original anymore but much more functional.

Coupler changed to 2” ball. Custom work to fit into hitch like the original ones. New safety chains are long enough for modern tow vehicles. Right side tail light / turn signal added. Flat four trailer light connector. All lights work perfectly. Original landing gear leg missing. Bolt on trailer tongue jack with swivel wheel. Original data plate missing.

Still original hubs but “left hand thread” studs replaced with normal right hand thread studs. Modern wheels and good P205/75R15 Goodyear Wrangler tires. Rides and tows very well. Springs appear to have been changed. Newer shackle brackets.

Numerous “pin holes” in bed from rust as well as some seam rust. Rust appears to be confined to the bed. Frame, hitch and fenders only have surface rust / scale. Still has original stake pockets for racks. Bed is still solid. It doesn’t flex but definitely has rust.

I have owned several of these trailers. Nothing beats them for functionality in the woods, on the farm or around town.

Clean WA state title in my name. Titled as a 1946 HM (home made). VIN stamped on frame.

The price is firm. $800 cash only. No trades. I’m happy to keep it and use it as a farm work trailer.

E-mail only please. Unfortunately CL has it’s problems with some people who are not sincerely interested or considerate. If your reply looks like spam or phishing or is suspicious then it will be deleted.

I will remove this posting when it sells. The trailer is only available for showing mid-week. Unfortunately I cannot meet on the weekends. I will meet at the Covington, WA Costco parking lot.”

I just checked Craigslist and I don’t see it relisted (and I didn’t see any others). I suspect it sold. I’ve updated the post. If I see it relisted i will drop you an email.
