Runs and drives, but needs some TLC.

“For your consideration, a WW2 jeep, a Ford GPW, DOD 6/11/1945. This is a running vehicle, licensed and clear title, but needs some TLC, of course. It has matching serial numbers of engine, body, and frame. The engine is a recent rebuild with about 100 miles on it. The body is in fair shape and has many F marked parts. The bumper is not original and the rare crossmember is missing. It has been converted to 12 volt key start, and has an upgrade T-90 transmission. It has turn signals, hazards, seat belts, and an electric WS wiper for the driver side. It has aftermarket vinyl top and doors. The jeep has been outfitted with 11″ brakes and Rancho springs and shocks. There is a new master cylinder, new left wheel cylinder, new flexible left brake line. The fuel system has an original fuel tank, boiled out and relined, new fuel line with additional fuel filter inline, new fuel pump, rebuilt original Carter W-O carburetor. The air filter has been overhauled. The front seats are overstuffed naugahyde. It could probably use new tires soon. It can be a candidate for retro to original WW2 configuration, or continue with what you have. “

“Disassembled. 99.9% parts complete for rebuild. Motor, transmission, transfer, axles rebuilt; all cleaned, primed and OD/Ford Blue painted. Frame is blasted, primed and OD painted. Correct carb, radiator, radio filterette, rear bumperettes, spare tire bracket, etc. All 3 seats, 4 new 16-inch NDT tires, 5 combat wheels, pintle hitch, top bow, windshield, new Beachwood Canvas. Original tub is VG+ condition. All visible Fs original, NOS or repro for correct rebuild. Everything is there for a May/June 1943 DOD! Pictures available. $5000 OBO.”

“Jeep was acquired for a restoration project and stored in an enclosed barn for the past 10 years.
I have come to the realization that I will not be able to get to restoring it. It has a lot of potential as it comes with the original motor, drivetrain, frame and body. It has areas of rust and missing the fuel tank. The jeep is loaded with “f” marked parts and has all original Glove Box identification plates.

“Here is a 42 ford gpw, this jeep has had alot of work done to it so far and more to follow, I have repaired the body to make it a decent reenactor jeep, the frame is very soild as well, it has all original running gear minus the engine which is a cj2a,I do however have a ford block that will need a complete rebuild to throw in with the jeep, I have, front seats, two f marked fenders, f marked hood, f marked grill,and a few windshields.I am selling the jeep as a project for 3500$ as I continue to work on the jeep and fix parts the price will go up. “This is 1944 Jeep from World War II made by Ford. In the pictures its the one that is green (red one sold long ago) It has the original drivetrain to include a GPW Ford engine, T84 trans and Ford Transfer case. Axles and steering are original. Windshield, bumperettes and many other parts are present. it’s a project that needs restoration. Engine and trans internals have been removed for inspection. Two engine connecting rods were removed for another engine. The block and trans case are usable. Trans and engine would need complete overhaul. Seats are not original to the jeep. Front frame horns will need repair. have aftermarket parts like bumper, fuel tank sump, hat channels etc that will go with it for free. Have an extra tub for parts if you want included for free. This jeep looks awesome in pictures but lots of bondo was used by someone. Lots of small misc parts and canvas for seats will go with this. Have bill of sale only. Will not part out sorry. Engine serial # is 92623, frame 248890, body 134777. Would consider trades for a WW2 1/2 ton chevy or dodge project worth the same or less.”
