“1952 WILLYS JEEP M 38 Runs great! The body is in excellent condition! Here is what has been altered: The second battery box (which was removed and bonded over). This was done before I received the Jeep. The 24 volt system was removed and the 12 volt put in its place. Also, I added power steering! The motor is a Buick V6 225 that was taken from a scrambler and placed in the jeep. It can climb a tree! It has a 3 speed transmission out of a 1968 CJ5. The transfer case is from a 1968 CJ5 as well. Both the transmission and the transfer case are the same make that used to be put in the earlier willys. I’ve also got a few extra parts for this jeep that you can have at no additional cost. Just to be clear this jeep is completely off-road ready! It doesn’t smoke at all and there are no unusual noises. My number is 928-607-1120. email, call, or text. I have additional pictures. Come take a look!!!”

“Up for auction is a 1951 Willys M38 US Navy Radio Jeep. This jeep originally had a radio set in it. There is no motor in the jeep at this time but I have a willys flat head 4 cylinder engine that goes with the jeep. The jeeps body is in good shape with very few to no dents. There is some rust on the passenger side of the jeep ( see pictures ) but other than that the jeep is in extremely good shape. The hood numbers are starting to come through the paint, so sanding it lightly will bring through the original US Navy hood numbers. The frame is in great shape with no cracks or rust other than slight surface rust here are there. Still has both bumperrets but missing the pintle hook. Has original front seat frames, gas tank, wheels and many other parts that are hard to find. All the data plates are still on the dash along with the radio set data plate located on the glove box door. This jeep would be a great restoration project. Comes with a clear Colorado title. sold as is where is. I can possibly ship the jeep depending where you are located. Or I know of some really good shipping company’s to ship it for you and they are very reasonable. If you have any question please feel free to call me at (970-462-7760) If you would like more pics let me know and I would be happy to send them to you, happy bidding.
I Buy, Sell and Trade Military and Civilian Jeeps, Trucks and Trailers. So if your looking for something I don’t have listed I might have it or be able to get it for you. “Frame off restoration in 2003/2004 (completed with my M37) – with all 24V parts (mostly OEM). I found this Jeep at a Machine shop in Tucson painted orange and converted to 12V – I spent over a full year converting it back to 24V and restoring it to Military condition. I have many extra parts that I will throw in with this purchase. I enjoy 4 – wheeling and this vehicle has always been the hit of the trips – it is fun to watch the guys with the expensive rock crawlers come and marvel at the M38. Veterans Day parades have also been a great time in the Jeep with my sons. This vehicle is restored to motor pool condition and has had its share of off road adventures (see picture of catching air with the boys in the seats smiling ear to ear! This is not a trailer Queen – It has a strong engine and transmission. All canvas in GREAT condition. This Jeep needs a good home with someone to drive it and enjoy it as much as I have.
This jeep needs: horn does not work (used to but I disconnected it when it got stuck on), needs wiper motors and wipers (never needed in AZ) and slight dent in rear tailgate. There is no canvas top, spare tire in excellent condition. Minor leaks underneath but normal for any military vehicle.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6800.
This looks pretty solid and pretty stock.
“21000 miles, very few miles on older engine & transmission rebuild, has been in family for many years”
