(08/27/2014) One runs and one doesn’t.
“I have two Willys CJ-2A flat fender jeeps for sale, a 1947 and a 1948. Both have PA titles in my name. The 1947 runs, drives and stops. The body is pretty rough, but complete. The floors have been replaced. There are rust holes in the tub and the top of the fenders. The frame appears solid. The brake system was replaced along with several other parts. It has good tires. The 1948 is complete, but does not run. The body is much cleaner than the 1947, mostly just surface rust, a few holes. The frame appears solid. The motor was seized and has since been disassembled. To get the motor out, I removed the hood, grill and fenders. All the parts were tagged and bagged. I have a spare motor, a set of gaskets and a new steel fuel tank. I am interested in selling one or both. I may consider parting them both out, as I expect they are worth more as parts than whole.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2250.

“For Sale 1948 Willys CJ-2A Jeep. Impressive and well maintained early Jeep Excellent drive train. GPW (Ford WWII military engine) runs like a top, good oil pressure with no smoke. New battery and the system has been converted to 12 volt. This Jeep is about as stock as you will find: with the exception of the body. The bed and rear fenders have been professionally rebuilt. The transmission and transfer case have been rebuilt and the 5:38 to 1 ratio axles are smooth and quiet. The steering is very tight. Original 2 piece windshield is in good shape. Good seat frames and cushions. Starts and runs good. It will need a brake job to insure it is safe to drive. The wiring has been partially redone and all lights work. Tires have some age on them but have like new tread.
