UPDATE: **SOLD** was priced at $2000. This is a no-glove-box slat grille MB.
Dexter forwarded the pics and noted, “This guy sent me lots of pics. It’s an early slat without a glovebox. The engine number is I10885, which puts it in the “no glovebox category.” The 10,885th slat made.”
“1942 willy’s Jeep L134 engine runs & drives.”
UPDATE: Was $2000. **SOLD**
(12/10/2010) The head is off, but this sure looks solid.
“This jeep is all original. Most of its life has been in eastern washington,so there is very little rust. The engine head is off because of a bad head gasket.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1000
“I have for sale and old army jeep, and a lot of spare parts, I would be good for a farther and son project its been in the shead for the last two years and I don’t have the time. i have posted pictures and it would be a pick up so if you live around Milwaukee racine or kenosha that would be good. UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $850.
There’s some value here.
“1949 Willey’s CJ – 2A Jeep; Good Title; No motor – set up for Chevy V8; Special hill climbing transmission; Frame & axles sandblasted and rust proofed with POR 15; All sheetmetal sandblasted (Top & Bottom); 2 sets fenders – fiberglass & steel; Toebar & winchplate; Southern vehicle – other parts available. ”
UPDATE: Lester reports this *might* be a scam, as 936 is a Texas area code rather than a Iowa code. Of course, cell numbers are so portable, of which I’m a perfect example (I have a cali area code), that it’s not a definitive sign.
No pics. The seller will text a pic. I’m gonna guess this is either a MB/GPW or CJ-2A.
“It needs some work. Its seventy years old. The body is in good shape for the age. It has the origanal engine, trany, as far as I know. Can send pic text. Call or text Joel 936-230-4650”

“Was running 3 years ago when I parked it. New Clutch, New Starter, New Master Cylinder, New Wheel Cylinders. Call 602-571-8305”
This needs work and is priced a bit high for a project; however, I’m betting this has a variety of drive train updates.
“Project for the Jeep enthusiast! Has been sitting in shop for a while, husband passed away, he started work on it, never finished. Call for what info you want….

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $20,000
(12/15/2015) It looks nice; is this missing the rear bow holder?
“this is a frame off total restoration with full documentation. i am the second owner. the jeep is totally original with only 500 miles on the rebuilt motor. it is in mint condition, like rolling off of the dealers show room!!”
UPDATE: Status unknown. Was listed at $2000.
(12/08/2010) I’m guessing this is either a MB/GPW body or a DJ body. It has seriously funky front and rear bumpers. The way the front bumper connects is also a little odd. Price isn’t bad though.
“VIN: CJ2A168524. 5 SPEED, 4X4, V8 AND RUNS WELL BUT HAS TWO CONCERNS: NEEDS BRAKES, AND HAS A SLIGHT ANTIFREEZE LEAK. THIS IS OUR COST ON THIS UNIT AS IT WAS A TRADE IN. FOR MORE PICTURES CLICK HERE: http://www.ronjohnsonauto.com/WILLYSJEEP.html .”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2750.
This looks good, though there is still some work to be done on it. It does include a rebuilt motor that you can hear run.
“Great piece of history in the offering here! This is a 1947 original Willys CJ2A Jeep. The engine is a Willys “Industrial” engine that has been rebuilt (.030″ over) and hasn’t even been broken in yet – maybe 1 mile on it! Has a T90 transmission, with a Dana 18 transfer case that has been gone through and checks out. Gets its’ fuel through a Solex carb and has been converted to 12 volts. Frame and body has been Jasco’d and painted to the correct color of OD green. Has a poly fuel tank and 16″ military tires. This Jeep has no markings yet so you can put your favorite unit designation on it. We tackled this project with the idea to make it a “driver” and to participate in parades and other public events. Being a Jeep, you could use it for whatever your offroad needs might be. This is not a full resto, as the body still shows some “character” which would lend itself to re-enactments or other types of “movie” work. To get this buggy up to speed you will need to wire in new lights and the brakes need to be finished – there are none! The carb could use a cleanup and rebuild, and the motor needs to be broken in per spec. There is also a crack in the passenger side windshield. Surprise of surprises though, we have a clear blue Texas title for this Jeep so it is easily registered and could be inspected for road use.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay
This looks in very good condition.
“FOR SALE IS THIS SUPER CLEAN 1947 CL2A JEEP. THIS WAS A LONG TIME FAMILY HEIRLOOM FOR OVER 50 YEARS. THIS A GREAT LITTLE JEEP WITH LOTS OF THUMBS UP APEEL FROM ALL WHO SEE IT. JEEP HAS ORIGINAL HEATER ASSEM. INSTALLED”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2200.
(08/10/2010) This isn’t running at the moment, but this looks in good shape.
“I have owned this jeep for about 12 years when i got it the motor was out and the jeep was taken apart i had the motor all redone and put it back it i put all new shocks on it and the body is in pretty good shape theres a little surface rust but know major rust. It has been sitting in the barn for about 5 years now its not running at this time but im sure it wouldnt take much to get it to run i just have to many projects and not enough time to mess with it thats why im only asking $2,200 o.b.o.”
