“1947 willys jeep civillian with tailgate. body in really amazing condition. this jeep is mostly original and is not rusted or rotten. the body is amazing condition. the drive train is amazing as well. the engine was exchanged for a buick v6. the original trans is still in place as is the overdrive unit! yes even the overdrive is there. a willys in this condition is almost impossible to find. the windsheild is the two piece design that was all original. under the fuel tank is even in good condition. title is clean. this willys is not running right now and was being meticulously restored by a very anal guy for years. there are still many things to be done, but the condition of this willys overall is amazing. it has been garaged kept until recently and we hate to leave it outside due to its great condition. so it is up for sale to a good home only.”
This has a nice rollcage, and HEI distributor, v6 headers, and possibly a one wire alternator with the V-6. This might be a decent deal, especially if you have another tranny around.
“1943 Jeep Willys. Engine works, tranny doesn’t. Locked up. Was planning on fixing, but after a year and a half, haven’t. Jeep’s located 20 mins. east of Julian. Call me at 619-722-7065 for more information and a time to go see Jeep.”
Appears in good condition.
“1948 Willys CJ2A Jeep / $3000 / Runs / Off road tag / includes lots of parts and extras. Admiral & Garnett area of Tulsa.”
The engine is seized. I can’t tell if this is an early or late ’46.
“i have a 1946 willys cj-2a with a clean title that is midway through a frame up restoration. it ran and drove great but the engine seized. it is an all steel body with zero rust but isn’t perfect.. its in primer right now and needs brake work other then an engine rebuild or a new engine. the jeep will come with many extra parts. the jeep is located outside of Oostburg. it will have to be hauled away on a trailer. e-mail with any questions and to set up a time to see it. im asking 2000 obo trades a possibility. i also have a PTO for sale. the rear unit the drive shaft and where it bolts to the transfer case.”
Nothing fancy, but sounds like a good, strong drive train.
“46 Willys Jeep Project, 4.3 vortex v-6 motor, sm465 trans, t18 transfercase, ford 9″ rear end, dana 30 front end. Serious offers only please call 619-933-6707 NO TRADES, More pics on request ”
It sure looks like this jeep has been well maintained by the same family for over 50 years.
“This jeep has been the family for over 50 years. The original 4 cylinder engine has 47,000 miles on it and runs great. It has the standard 3 speed manual transmission, transfer case with high and low range, 4 wheel drive, and lock out hubs. The soft top and tires are new. The 6 foot plow and a full size cover are included with the jeep. It has the original 6 volt system including lights, gauges, generator, and battery. I also added a 12 volt battery connected directly to the starter for easy starting even on the coldest winter days. This jeep has been well cared for and maintained over the years.”
Well, at least it runs …
“1946 Willys Jeep, Flathead Head 4 cyl engine, manual trans, full time front 4wd axle, the engine runs but needs overhauled. The brakes need work. The body is rusted but the frame is in good shape. It has been converted to 12 volts. Also includes an extra set of original style tires.”
“rebuilt 231 v-6. 331 gears, front disk brakes, new paint and interior, new glass, runs and looks great. 4 wheel drive works good.”
This looks like it has a nice, vintage top. The rest of the jeep looks in good shape, too.
“1946 Jeep Willys. Small block V8. New muffler, alternator, wiring, lift – all professionally done.
Newer tires. Ultimate hunting vehicle.”
I doubt it will fetch the ‘buy it now price’ of $5400. And, it has plenty of rust and dents that will require some work to remove, however there’s a lot to like about it. Lots of pics on eBay.
“The current owner has owned this jeep for 25 years and it has 61,504 original miles. Fifteen years ago, the owner and his late wife took a road trip from Urbana, Illinois down to Cairo, Illinois and back up through Kentucky and Ohio. It ran perfectly the whole way. When the jeep was purchased in 1984 the title was in both the owner and his wife’s name and was re-issued in 1998 in his name only after his wife passed away…”
No pics yet provided.
“Clean and mostly stock, engine overhauled, 12 volt, well worth looking at please E-mail for more info. Can get pictures in the next few days”
It appears this is a free jeep. That’s a good price!
“1948 Willys flat fender jeep rolling chasis with axles, tires, tranny, t-case. Great for project or for the rare spare parts.”
This looks like a fun little CJ-2A. I wonder if the bars attached to the windshield from the roll bar are intented to support the windshield? It’s a good strategy to help reduce stress on the windshield.
“Bright yellow.12 volt conversion with new 1 wire alternator.rebuilt starter, all light including turn work great. Has stoway towbar that folds flat on front bumper.(NO TOP) new master and brake cylinders. Tires are larger radial on white spoke wheels(NO SPARE) New e-brake cable yet to be installed along with 4 leaf after market springs.”
This looks to be a good foundation for a great little trail jeep. Though this is a non-running project at this point, it does have a number of quality upgrades.
“46 willys,1962 buick 198 v-6 rebuild 1 hour run time,sm 420 trans,5:38 gears,dana 30 disk brake,dana 44.lots of new parts,16 gallon fuel cell,frame boxed,power steering and power brakes.rear brakes are 11 inch.needs a few things to drive this rig.”

This is a nice looking CJ-3A.

This sure sounds like a good deal. It has a bobcat hood.

This is a non running jeep due as the transmission has been removed.
“Buick 283ci V6, 4” Rancho suspension lift. Muncie 4speed. Transmition has been removed and has a broken spline gear. Trailer not included but is also for sale.”
This is a project that sounds like it doesn’t run.
“In process of conversion to V6 engine and upgrades. Parts include: 2 V6 engines (225 & 231 Buick), 2 Transmissions (T90 & 3 speed top loader side shifter), new pressure plate and resurfaced flywheel, Spicer 18 Transmission, Dana 25 & 41 axles, new 11″ brake drums, Alum plate side panels for body, new leaf springs (extra arch), misc. parts and manuals. $1,200 or best offer.”
Today it’s been all about parts! Here’s another project or possible parts jeep.
“For sale is my 1948 CJ3A Jeep. 4WD. I began the restoration process four years ago and have been unable to continue due to family and job. The old rusted body was removed and a NEW steel body set on the frame (not attached yet) The engine has about 500 miles on a professional overhaul and runs perfect and was not removed from the frame. The entire drive train is still intact. The tires are military NDs and is very good shape. The fuel tank was new just prior to beginning the process. The spare is good the wheel is not. The glass is good. I also have a full metal tip with door (roll sown windows) which is bolted on in the winter. It too is in good shape and may be included for $200.00. If you are so inclined, I also have a full frame and drive train (intact) from a 1953 Jeep Overland Wagon. It has an overhead cam engine, the same transmission and change over case. I’ll throw it in for another $100.00!”
This might be a good price.
“1948 Willys CJ2A. All original except wheels and 11 inch brakes. New tires. Runs and drives good but smokes a little. Selling because I have two other Jeep projects”
