UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5800.
(10/10/2013) This is made up to look like a M-38.
“This is my parade vehicle I used all summer to drive veterans in town parades its a civilian jeep painted to represent a M38 military jeep. I restored this jeep from the frame up the tub was taken to the sandblaster as well as the hood and front fenders the frame was wire wheeled as it was already real clean and primed with POR15 and painted with gillespie WWII olive drab paint. This jeep has five new tires, repro brass data plates, remanned carb, new steering wheel, new master cylinder, new gauges and speedometer, fresh oil and filter, fresh GL1 in the trans and transfer case, new tail lights, turn signals, rear mounted gas tank (no sitting over the gas tank) rebuilt steering links, new alternator conversion, electric fuel pump, 6 volt system converted to 12 volt, new paint, new distributor with electronic ignition, I have all the pics from when I bought it until it was finished I took out the uncomfortable junkyard seats that were in it when I bought it and replaced them with a set of military humvee seats. The jeep runs like a top drives great no popping out of gear but it does have a intermittent high pitched whine at higher speeds I believe it might be in the transfer case but it has never given me a problem I have a spare transfer case to go with the jeep the new military speedometer was put in but needs a new speedo cable to function all gauges work but the fuel gauge the fuel tank was boiled out and checked for leaks the sending unit is good the gauge needs to be replaced with one with a lower ohm value to work with the existing sending unit.”
