“1959 Jeep FC-170. Cab has some front end damage. The windshield is good, no cracks or chips. The door glass and side windows are intact. The back glass is cracked. All of the glass except the windshield is flat and can be cut by a glass company fairly cheap. Has the original flat head 6 cylinder with a T90 three speed transmission and a Dana 18 transfer case. The flat bed is steel and very well made. Also had a 4″ lift installed several years ago. Have not tried to start the engine. Was a true barn find. Will need the steering fixed as it seems the pitman arm splines are stripped. Everything will need to be gone through: brakes, wiring, steering…etc. Have a good Missouri title in my name.

“This is truck #383 of the estimated 400 diesel-powered, Forward Control Jeep crew cabs built for the Marine Corp in 1964. The majority of these rare trucks have not survived, and this one barely has. It appears to have been wrecked early in its life and was subsequently stripped of its drivetrain and military dash. The collectibility of these trucks makes this one worth restoring, though it will entail quite a bit of work. These rare four-door cabs were constructed largely of parts available from standard civilian production.

Enough remains of the rare military body, that it can be rebuild from pieces. A good civilian cab, dash, and doors is included with this sale to help with that reconstruction. The floors of both cabs are remarkably solid. There is some rust in the doors that is repairable. The frame still sits on its original Dana axles, which specification sheets identify with 4.89 gears and Power Lock differentials front and rear. The engine, transmission, and transfer case is gone. The military dog house is still there. It is missing the cover for the battery box and air cleaner, which originally set inside the cab. It has the original military grill guard and bumpers with air-lift loops. It is missing all of the military blackout lights.”

When I got it I was told it still ran but I never tried to get it running, was planning on a v6 swap. “I am sadly selling my 1957 Willy’s jeep fc150 truck, it runs and yard drives , used everyday to haul firewood during the winter, always starts , no brakes, has chains on the tires, custom made flatbed , has f head 4 cyl engine runs good , recently the water pump developed a leak, has 3 speed trans , 4 wheel drive works, head and tail lights are working , has 6.5 plow , manual angle , power up and down, I had a parts truck that we took all the good stuff off, we tacked new cab corners on , been patched many times over the years , we recently stripped about 10 layers of paint off and got the cab down to the metal, then spray bombed it silver, you can see what needs to be done no stories , also , no title, your on your own on that one,”

“1962 WILLYS KAISER FC-150 PARTS PARTMOBILE or BUILDER
4 cylinder Hurricane includes clear New Mexico USA TITLE (not a salvage).

I am really reluctant to get rid of my recently acquired FC, but I am slowly realizing I will not be able to get to this project. If you are interested, I have many more pictures on my personal website I can give you upon request.

This FC has been a long time resident of Northern NM and has some body wear, damage, and floor board rust through; however, the frame and axels are very, very straight and free of rust. I was almost shocked to see how true and easily a frame off restoration from this platform. The body will be the challenge.

The driver’s door is racked, much of the glass is broken up front. I have not tried to turn the engine over and was told the L134 Hurricane engine had not been started in years. The entire drivetrain is there. I did remove the ‘farmer Joe’ hoist in the back. ”
