The engine is frozen.
“This 1963 FC 170 has been owned by my uncle for the past 25 years or so. It was originally purchased in a farm in upstate NY and towed home to NJ. The engine and transmission were rebuilt. It has the Hurricane inline 6 engine. It currently has a 12 volt alternator and all related components were switched to the 12v versions. In the mid 90s, the entire frame was swapped out for a rust free unit. I believe the axles were also rebuilt at some point (I think the ratios are 4.11) with the 3 spd trans. The stake bed was also replaced. Recently, the truck has sat for a while which unfortunately caused all of the brakes to seize up. These were also completely replaced last year, including the booster. Unfortunately, during this time, the engine has froze and we have been unable to get it moving again. The overall condition of the truck is pretty decent, except for the cab. It has rust in all the usual places with several floor board holes. The door hinges are shot on the one side and the other is on the way out (be careful opening them!). I think the only piece of glass that is good is the rear window. The truck has a functioning plow setup and it was used for many years as a plow rig. I believe it is a PTO style pump that runs off of the flywheel, but I’m not positive. The jeep is currently located in Atlantic Highlands.
