Patrick put together this animated GIF which shows the different noses Brooks considered.

Dan spotted this Jeepster.
“This classic historical convertable is a 1949 Jeepster. First Jeep for the public after WW2. It is beautiful. The engine is the flat head 4 with 63 HP. Long stroke gives it good power. Three speed and overdrive. Very nice condition. Look at the pics of this great Jeepster. The price is the price from haggardys list on the internet. Way below the value I need the room for a remodel of the house. PRICE LOWERED. RUNS PERFECT. MY LOSS YOUR GAIN.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $18,000.
This was featured in a Jeep magazine of some type.
“1948 Willys Jeepster Overland in Ferrari Red. 161-CUBIC-INCH 6-CYLINDER ENGINE. Featured in Jeep owners magazine 2006 volume 4 issue 1 “My Vintage JEEP vehicle” with the still current owner that I am helping sell the JEEPSTER for.
Here is a link to over 80 pics;

Restoration was done prior to 2006. All the chrome was done and shows nicely. At that time all was pretty well sorted out there were a few minor details that were not completed in the restoration which I was going to complete for the owner but due to personal circumstances I had to close up shop and was unable to complete these minor details. For the last couple years or so the Jeepster has be in storage. I have manuals and some odds and ends parts a spare tire cover that matches interior in red and white. Engine runs very nice. I last drove it around town about a year ago and it drove well, straight and brakes were good. Well I pulled it out of storage and took the Jeepster for a drive. As any older car thats not been used for a wile I started loosing brake pedal so the seals/cylinders well need to be checked. Check ALL the pictures they tell the story. Pretty much rust free undercarrige and pans. The only place I saw of concern is at where the back bumper area meets the body there is some small surface bubbles. see pics.
Here is what is needed or negatives
Brakes need sorting
Fuel gauge in-op
Shift linkage is a little lose, adjustment.?
Horn in-op
Convert top latches need attention”

(05/31/2014) It runs and drives, but needs some work.
“THIS IS A TRUE 1948 WILLY’S-OVERLAND JEEPSTER. THIS VEHICLE HAS A ‘GO-DEVIL’ 4-CYLINDER ENGINE WITH A REBUILT CYLINDER-HEAD, A 3-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION WITH OVERDRIVE AND A NEW CLUTCH. IT HAS A REBUILT STARTER. IT IS ALL THERE AND IN GOOD SHAPE, BUT NEEDS ‘TLC’. THE CANVAS TOP IS IN GOOD SHAPE. I HAVE THE ‘SIDE CURTAINS’ BUT THEY COULD STAND TO BE REDONE. VEHICLE HAS BEEN CONVERTED TO 12-VOLT. VEHICLE HAS BEEN INDOORS ALL OF IT’S LIFE. WHEN I FOUND IT, IT WAS SITTING ON BLOCKS AND ENGINE WAS DISASSEMBLED. IT NOW RUNS AND DRIVES. I HAVE TOO MANY PROJECTS AND NEVER SEEM TO BE ABLE TO GET BACK TO THIS ONE. THE HUSBAND SAY’S “IT’S TIME TO LET IT GO”, SO I’M GIVING SOMEONE ELSE THE OPPORTUNITY. IT IS CURRENTLY ‘NON-OPED’. YOU CAN VIEW HER ON SATURDAY, SUNDAY OR MONDAY’S IN SACRAMENTO. $7500.00 OR O.B.O. “
It runs, but needs some work.
“Just out of 20 year storage. Has been converted to 350/350 with 10 bolt rear end. Power brakes. I did get it running but does need some brake work( I have new wheel cylinders on the way). Will drive onto a trailer.
Body is as good as they come, no rust, super solid. Complete. Top and side curtains. Has power front seats that work. I also have original front seats. You could make this a driver very easy, or do a full restoration. Clean Title with both original plates. CA from new.”
