“I am posting for a friend, she can be reached at the phone number provided. All the info I have is, its a 1951 M-38 Willys, has a small block 327 in it i believe. Its painted military green with a star on the hood. It does run and drive. Most questions can be answered only by looking at the vehicle. This was her husbands project and he recently past away. She doesn’t know a ton of specifics, so you should inspect the vehicle yourself. $3900 OBO. Thanks for looking!!”
Running project.
“1952 willys M-38 99% rust free, runs great drives needs front brake work, has new master cylinder, title, dash plate, and have all 5 original wheels and tires, original hood numbers found on hood. Had to put 12 volt items on it to get it running, did valve work and fresh gaskets on motor, did minor work to tranny and transfercase. Have original springs also. One tiny rust area in pass floor, tool box excellent. I have quite a few extra parts as well.”
Missing a few details, but appears solid.
“Im selling a original m38 willys with just over 30,000 miles on it .it runs great and is an unbelievable 4wheel drive vehicle has the original flat head motor but has been converted from 24v to 12v
This is a army issue willys not the civilian model
This is a very fair price for this jeep but I’m in a financial jam so my loss your gain”
UPDATE: **Status Unknown** Was $1800.
(08/17/2015) Needs some work.
“This is a running jeep.
4×4 works great
New tires and solex carburetor.
Does not overheat and has great oil pressure. It comes with brand new gauges to be installed.
It also comes with extra transmission and transfer case housing.
The floor pans are rusted and have been glassed.
The brakes were working but need repair.
No title, Bill of sale only.
Great for historically correct restoration, or for the trails.
May negotiate. Will consider trades for a mustang or expedition”

“1951 Willys M38 military 1/4 ton Jeep and 1946 Jeep CJ-2 plus lots of extra parts. I obtained these years ago with hopes of restoring or combining to make a ‘MB-like” Jeep. Time and health have not been good so I am selling it all.
M38 flat fender serial MC45339, built 12-51. -The M38 has had its original engine replaced by a F4-134 Hurricane and thus a hole was cut in the hood for clearance. There is a spare hood to replace it with. The 24v electrics were removed and rewired by 12v stock equipment. The brakes have been rebuilt and the vehicle was runnable 4 years ago, but has been under tarp since 2009, and has deteriorated.

“ have two Jeep Willy’s
No titles for either one.
One is missing part of the body but runs and drives (1951 M38).
Second Willy (1955 CJ-5) did run when parked about 10 years ago. Engine is free not frozen and has full body.
I was going to restore both but no longer have the time and wish to sell them.
I am told that the running Willy is a 1951 M38. The engine has been rebuilt runs good. Brakes all restored and is drivable.
Asking $3500 for both.
Serious buyers only please,”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1650.

This may be a solid M-38.

Original 4 cylinder motor, converted to 12 Volt. This jeep is fun to drive, but is is very low geared so it is not made for driving on the highway. No power steering or power brakes.”

“1952 WILLYS M38 JEEP . Has been in storage since 1976. Original 4×4 drivetrain except motor. Has 289 ford motor conversion kit. Runs excellent, has edelbrock intake setup with cam and headers.Solid tub, original gauges and equipment holders. This was a civil air patrol jeep. Needs brake work”
Appears rough.
“I have a M38 Willys Jeep that I have started to restore so it is partially disassembled. The engine and transmission is almost ready to come out to be rebuilt. The attached photos are of BEFORE restoration was started. This is not a running jeep. If you are looking for a project, this is a good one. I am not desperate to sale and will not give it away. M38’s are some of the most rare jeeps ever built. If your a preeper you will like the old school technology in this jeep that makes it Electro- Magnetic Puse (EMP) Resistant. I just don’t have time right now to finish the project.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $6500.
(06/21/2015) Listed as a 1949, it looks more like a M-38.
“49 willies jeep runs and drives great”
Appears to be some value here.
“Needs complete restoration – some body rust; not running. Late 1940’s CJ2A, needs restoration, engine did run; 3 speed trans bad. Late 1940’sCJ2Afor body parts – no engine or trans. Selling
all three for $2,000.”
It’s a mix of parts.
“This Willys is a true survivor. The id number is a MB number, but is considered a 1947 by the DMV. The tub is a MB. The jeep was modified for a film to look like a M38. The driver side has been smoothed over with bondo at some point, but the ribs for the tools can be seen on the inside.
The window is post war as well as the M38 grille. The jeep will need to be seen.
It needs tlc for sure but is a driver.
I have the window rubber, just no glass.
The engine is what I can best figure is a 1953 F-Head Hurricane engine. It has the generator, but is wound to a 12v system.
It has Model A tail lights.
The tires are new as of July 22nd. I also had Willys hand painted on the rear tailgate, as well as a personal tribute to a fallen family member, as well as a WWII Kilroy was here.
I am also having the rims painted green this week.
I am fixing it up as I keep driving it. If it doesn’t sell for my price, I will be fixing it up and keeping it.
The footlocker doesn’t go with the jeep.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $900
(07/06/2015) It’s a project.
“I’m selling this Jeep being I was going to start it as a project but don’t have time now that I am a student. It comes with a 4 cly flat head that should be good or that is what the last owner told me. There is a parts engage as well but ether way both will have to be gone through. All the drive train is there and the body will need work however its a good start for a project car. I am not interested in trading, cash only please. I have the title in hand.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500.
It’s a mix of parts.
