Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1956 Willys 1 Ton pickup truck ( the only year with this grill slot combination), sits on BF Goodrich Mud terrain 37”x12.5×17. With a bit of body lift, this beast would clear the 42″ Swampers / TSL / Irock or Pitbull tires. Was fully restored 8 years ago & made to haul a 5th wheel across Canada, with a 6.2 GM diesel & new ton housing. 4WD Automatic.
Has the original tail gate with the Stamp Willy logo, these are getting rare… Everything works & ready to go on the road.

This has a short wheelbase. Maybe this is a truck on a CJ-5 chassis?
“We have a 1955 or 1956 Willys Flatbed pickup would make an excellent crawler.
The transmission and transfer case look like a T89 transmission and a model 80 transfer case which would be correct for this vehicle.
The engine in the photos is not the correct engine for this model regardless of the year, however, it looks like a 215 c.i. Buick V6 engine that was an optional engine in the Jeep CJ5 from about 1966 to 1969? (Jeep Corp. bought the engines from GM)The Buick engine in the CJ5
was matched to the T89 transmission and model 80 transfer case until about 1969 or so.

Fatman Suspension and rebuilt posi chevy 10 bolt 3.73
302HO motor with AOD trans, lokar shifter. PS, PDB, tilt, electronic gauges, sanderson headers, magna flow exhaust, etc….
Top of the line everything. Pro built. Wiring just finished.
Its a driver now, just needs finish install on the Vintage AC then carpets and door panels finished.
I have $45k in receipts over the last two years on this build. Everything is new.
I do not need to sell, just found something else I want more.”

While not perfectly stock, the truck looks in good shape. The inline Ford engine looks good inside. This is a buy-it-now or make offer auction.

Silver Willy’s is a really nice one and the best bang for the buck. It even has the Willy’s hood ornament intact. $1500.
Red Willy’s has a lot of parts in the bed. $800
White Willy’s is a six cylinder and has a winch on it. $600.

Every nut, bolt, washer, seal, bearing, …everything…, disassembled and reconstructed from the ground up. Original paint matched as closely as possible. Two-tone interior identical to the original. 1961 willy’s pickup truck. Great shape. Runs, drives, stops with no problem. Shifts into 4wd. Solid frame and pretty solid body. This jeep is not perfect but it is something you can drive and tinker with. It is currently registered and driven every week. Newer tires, newer battery, new radiator. I have a ton of extra hard to find parts including extra hood, front axle, fenders, grill, etc.
I am looking for more of a hot rod/ rat rod/ 2wd truck, or muscle car. It can be a project and I am willing to add cash on my end for the right vehicle. Some things I am looking for:

“Hello there,up for sale is a 1952 jeep willys truck,it is a parts vehicle only…this truck is in Awesome condition for its age.I wish I could keep it but unfortunately I rather have the cash to pay off my debt then a truck sitting around.the truck has a crysler 225 from the 1960 something.it still has the original transmission 4×4 of course.I’m sad to let it go as this was a project I really wanted to finish but now I cant.
