Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1949 Willys Overland Pickup for sale. Truck is in good condition overall, have been driving it daily. Has been converted to 12 Volt system and has a Super Hurricane 226 cu in six cylinder. Original three speed, four wheel drive. New tires on front, rear good. Has new wheel cylinders and master cylinder, new rear shoes. All glass is good, wipers and lights work. Dark green in color. Also have an Army trailer that needs some work that would look good with the Willys, price negotiable on trailer. CASH ONLY, Don’t need help selling, Will not ship.”

(08/23/2014) Originally a Forest Service truck. No photo of a gov plate. May be worth a look.
“1960 factory built forestry truck. Originally sold to a private party in Colorado. This truck is in amazing unrestored original condition. Flathead hurricane 6cyl, rebuilt carb, new exhaust, runs and drives needs minor work to be on the road. Sorry about these photos they do this vehicle no justice. Must be seen in person. Mike’s got this truck project for sale.
“For sale or trade, 1961/62 Willys truck on a 1991 S10 chassis and running gear. The project is about 1/2 done. Frame work is done, cab is mounted, I don’t have a box but I do have rear fenders, tailgate, an S10 truck floor and stake pockets to build a box. The running gear is all stock S10, 2.8 V6 with a 5 speed, I ran all new brake lines, new fuel lines, new tie rod ends, new front and rear brakes, new shocks on front. Cab corners are patched, I used the original S10 cab floor and firewall and fit it to the Willys cab.
Needs front and rear glass and seals, and cowl patch panels. Lots of potential for a really reliable but cool looking vintage truck. All the mechanical stuff you can get from NAPA.
I would be open to trading for a vintage VW Beetle, project or running.”

Another 1948 Package Delivery Van, except this is the California Body version. Compare it to Jesse’s version.

This is a screaming Deal for what I have and definitely warrants the expenditure of some time to come and look if you are a serious Jeep buyer! 1. 1947 CJ2 2. 1951 Jeep pickup 3. 1948 Willys Overland Parcel Delivery (PD) Quite Rare! First two run and the PD was driven from San Francisco to Paynes Creek 18 years ago and has not been started since. It has the 4 cylinder flathead engine and the other two are F Heads. The 1947 has an F head that is a transplant out of a 1953 jeep station wagon. I will entertain the idea of parceling them out.
