Steve spotted this ad. No pics provided, but the builder assembled the front from Bronco II and the rear from a F-250.
“This is a particular vehicle for a particular buyer. Former daily driver but has been sitting for the past two years.
This was hand built, and would suite a collector or restorer nicely. Registered as ’53 Willys but is in fact only the body sitting on two frame halves welded together. (front-Bronco II, rear F-250)
Ford big block engine: 460 (dual-plane intake manifold, 780 Edelbrock carb, roller rockers, ported heads, Hooker headers) approx 20k miles since rebuild; American Racing 17″ aluminum wheels; BF Goodrich g-Force T/A KD tires (brand new but slightly weathered). Interior is very minimal, but does have a few original gauges and heater.
This has alot of sentimental value so finding a buyer who will appreciate it would be optimal.
Pics are available upon request for serious inquiries. ”

“$1850 obo
1952 Willys Pickup Truck
Clear Title
Buick v6 Engine
Rebuilt Wagner Carb
manual trans
4×4 high low levers
New Uninstalled Parts:
Master cylinder
Windshield glass
Windshield weather stripping
Chrome hood emblem
This truck runs and drives but does not stop as it needs the included master cylinder installed. The paint job is a ten footer but looks good for a mountain rig. Front hood latches need to be mounted in order to latch the front of the hood down. Front drive shaft is not currently hooked up but is included (this is how he got it and he never desired to put it back in). Dash has been modified with different gauges and a radio. Wheels and tires are good. Currently running off of exterior gas tank (not included)
I would consider this a rat rod. I say this in that it could be legally on the road with a weekend’s work and could then be driven as is or you could continue to drive it as you work on it more. Please do not expect a rig that will win any shows for paint or one that will not need tinkering.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
This is a nice looking truck.
“This is a 1950 Willys Truck.I purchased this truck for my son back in 11-27-90.He was 16 and I thought he would like it .The problem was he didn’t have enough room for all his friends so he ended up using the family car anyway. When I purchased it was already changed to an automatic transmission and had a flat head six and the four wheel drive was not connected. The truck was red when I bought it but the paint was dull so I had it repainted.I also had the tailgate redone and installed diamond plate in the bed.I replaced some glass on the some of the windows that were cracked. The mileage on the title dated 12-4-1990 was 63,857 and the current mileage is 64,583.the truck has only been driven 726 miles in 21 years. Most of the time I would take it out of the garage to clean and wax it.This truck has been garage kept all those years.I have not started the truck in about five years so it will have to be towed.I have all the receipts to verify everything that’s been done to it.The interior is in good shape with some metal nicks but the seat has no tears but is very dusty. The Tires are OK but being that the truck has been sitting around they would need replaced along with the chrome rims. This could be a nice truck maybe to put a small V-8 and a 3 speed transmission.”
Here’s the Tender that started it all.
It was this Tender that came on the market by the previous owner that got me asking the question, what is this thing? So, it is with some irony that Bob forwarded this Ad to me and asked whether this isn’t a modified wagon rather than an actual Tender. The thing is, there is one other just like this that was for sale. You can view it here. So, I’m not as sure that it was a custom job.
