Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Craig spotted this one. There could be some value here.
“The Jeep runs and drives but the brakes will need gone through. The frame has some welded repairs in the spot where these trucks normally rot. It still has the stock flat head Hurricane 6 cylinder motor. I bought it as a project truck a while back and I just have too many other projects. It will need some work done to it but is not a bad base. Im asking 1600. Itd be awesome to see it on the road some day.”

Runs, but needs work.
“1952 willys pick up truck runs and moves but will need to be towed. Engine is a Ford 302 v8 with a manuel transmission. minor rust.”
This has been dismantled.
“1948 4wd Willys Pickup, I bought it complete and running a few years ago. It is currently dismantled and have been working on restoration. I have all of the original parts, engine etc.. The original 4 cylinder runs well. New floor pans and cab corners are installed, with a bit to finish. Front cowl corners are ready to fit and weld on. My plan was to mount the body on a short box Chevy to make it more drivable. The Frame has a small block Chevy, transfer case, transmission, disc brakes. All parts, frames, and engines go as a package. More pictures will post soon. ”

“Would consider trade for 4 seat RZR. 1956 willys jeep was a frame off build runs and drives. has a clean title. Has 4.0 engine, AW4 transmission, NP231 transfer case all out of a 95 Cherokee. Has dana 44 front end. has hubs so you can kick them out and it drives down the highway great at 65 mph. I drive it at least 40 miles 3 times a week. Has GM 12 bolt rear end 4.56 gears mini spool. FOA 14″ coil overs. 3link front and 4link rear suspension. 35″x12.5″ Cooper STT’s. and a custom bobbed short bed with tube fenders. 12000lb winch and custom bumper. I have put on the badges and hood ornament. I have new project now so want sell jeep. ”

(11/24/2016) Needs wiring. Appears to have little rust.

“1951 Willy’s pickup. Older semi restoration. Body, engine, brakes,electrical,shocks all redone or replaced. Chassis was cleaned and suspension gone through. Nice driver for shows and whatever. Run and drives well.”
