Per Bill’s observation, this appears to be a M-38 with DJ-5 grille and CJ-2A windshield. Pictures are 7 years old.

This has been painted within the last year, as it was listed last summer painted red. It also has the M-38 body rather than a CJ-2A.

(08/28/2012) The seller doesn’t seem to know whether this was a real Fire Truck or not, but probably wouldn’t be hard to verify.

This has full floating hubs in the rear, so this could be part military or part early VEC CJ-2A. However, there are a few other details that suggest this just might be a collection of various parts.
“Drives and Runs well and in good condition. Recent upgrades to brake system and rear and front internal gears etc. call for appointment if serious about collecting this gem. Needs minor electrical and a paint upgrade. Have clear title”
Paul Buford painted this cool rendition of a wagon. We’ve all seen a wagon or two or more in this condition. The original of this has already sold.

This device was built to detect mines and, once detected, would auto-shift the jeep into neutral and put on the brakes. This article was published in the January 1946 edition of Popular Mechanics.
I’ve seen a variety of PTO items, but this is the first Corn Binder I’ve seen. This short reference was published in the January 1946 edition of Popular Mechanics.

“Rebuilt Willys Jeep CJ-3A. Fun vehicle for hot summer days, but also includes removable top for any weather. See video for more details.”
I believe that the grille is from a DJ-5. The hood is a fiberglass bobcat hood. I’m not sure what is one top of the hood.
