(07/23/2012) There appears to be plenty of stock jeep here, though the gas tank has been moved and the steering column replaced.

This flatfender looks like it’s speeding down a hill pretty fast. I can’t tell if they are wearing helmets or not.

Brand new all weather tires and white spoke wheels. Tires still have the nubs on them. Only rust is in tool box and under gas tank. Collector plates so never has to be licensed again.”

A couple items need fixing, but otherwise this looks good.
“1951 Willys Overland 4WD Pickup…$6,000 FIRM
1951 Willys Overland 4WD pickup restored to original. Stock Hurricane F-Head 134 c.i. engine. Recently rebuilt. Runs excellent. Original floor mounted stick T-90 3 speed transmission. Hi/Low range works fine. Lockout hubs. Original 7.00×16 tires. Original owner’s manual. Restoration completed in 2005.
New glass, chrome replated, spray in bed liner, etc.
Known issues:
…engine runs perfectly, but the truck bogs down when going up hills. Believe this is a timing/vacuum advance issue??
…per original owner, the original 1951 cab was totalled in 1956 but the rolling chassis was not damaged. Another 1951 cab was purchased and placed on the original chassis. Consequently, the engine and body #’s do not match. This was not a problem when I purchased and registered the truck in California.
…brakes occasionally grab when brakes are applied
…drivers side window is off the track and is laying loose inside the door panel.”

It’s a project, a highly custom one.

Original tub. Looks well restored.
“Hi, I will give this a try…..I have a 1946 restored Willys CJ2-A that was done about 3 years ago. It was a 5 year project that was fully pulled apart and gone thru. It was done to original with details taken into account. It has repro front fenders, tailgate and windshield. The tub is original with welded in panels where needed. Every thing was but-welded with no over-laps, no pop rivets, not hacked. It was done right to look right and to last….no rust left! Original bolts were saved, cleared and installed where ever possible. It looks as good underneath as on the outside! It has the T-90 3 speed rebuilt, L-134 engine and the Warn overdrive. New brakes and lines, like original wiring harness etc. Too much to list. Original vacuum wipers, gauges and 6 volt electrical system with generator. It starts easy and the lights are bright at night. I am having knee problems and have a hard time with the clutch and brake up-setting my knees.
This looks good on the outside (though the tailgate appears a little odd). The cab needs some work and wiring.

“i have a 1946 willys cj2a for sale. It has the original 134 L block. runs good just rebuilt the carb. New fuel pump and fuel lines, new brakes all the way around, repacked wheel bearings, new brake cylinders, new brake lines in front, new tail lights, new shackles, new floor boards, new engine wiring, new windsheild, new tie rod ends, have original wheels for it. Body work done on drivers side, the cowl, and the fenders, primed with feather fill 2k primer, the passenger side still needs the body work done to it. “I have a nice 1959 Jeep truck for sale. I have done some updates over the years. Updates include relined gas tank, brakes, hoses, belt, plugs, tires, tow bar, paint, etc. I had it painted back to original as best as I could.
It still needs a parking brake cable and a vent window is cracked. It has low mileage and was a barn find when I bought it. It was all original and had only surface rust. It is what attracted me to it. It has the strong six super hurricane engine and does not smoke. It runs strong and the clutch is good. I was told it is a rare 1 ton model. I have a clear Texas title. The only reason I would sell it is I have a CJ-2A also and do not need two Jeeps. I think it is better than a new Razor, mule or any other ATV since it is in another class for the money. I have a bus bench seat for additional riders in the bed. Please call for a showing or test drive.”
