UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
The seller provides a detailed description.
“You are bidding on a 1946 Willys CJ2A. I picked this up a while back with plans of using it around the farm. I have since picked up a newer CJ5 that runs and stops so it is time to find this one a new home. Although not shown in the pictures I do have the radiator, fan and gas tank (stored safely indoors). The Willys came to me without a steering column, brake and clutch pedals or the arms that they attach to. I have a steering column (less steering wheel) from another Jeep along with some pedals and arms that I will throw in to the deal. I will also toss in a couple of master cylinders and a few other pieces I have around from other Jeep projects. You will need to come up with seats, a steering wheel and some small miscellaneous pieces.
As for the motor. A previous owner had pulled the motor for some reason and while it was in his garage it fell against the wall damaging the casting of the carb. I have the carb but my guess is that it is only good for parts. You will need to purchase a carb (they are on Ebay every week). The fellow that I purchased it from re-installed the motor with new motor mounts and I think transmission mount as well. The Jeep will also need an air cleaner. The motor turns by hand but I have made no attempt to start it. The transmission shifts through all the gears and the transfercase shifters seem to move as they should. Driveshafts are currently disconnected but do come with the Jeep.
The frame appears sound from what I can see. It is missing the rear crossmember/bumper but they can be purchased new. The front frame horns still have their gussets and the drivers side frame horn still has the metal data plate. The passenger side frame horn is dented a bit and will need some straightening (see picture).
The body is fairly sound for a 1946 Willys however it is not ready for any car show. The two body tags on the firewall are still attached. The front floor panels have been replaced at some time while the back end is original. The hood will need a little work but I think it is very savable as are the fenders. The drivers side might need a new inner support brace since it has some rust on the bottom. Tailgate is there but there and usable but not show quality. The grille is very nice and includes the sought after bullet shaped lights. The windshield frame is there and with enough time and talent it could be restored but there are better ones out there for the effort it would take. It does not come with the inner windshield frame. If you are not doing a 100% restoration I do have a couple of CJ3A frames that the winning bidder can purchase for an additional cost ($125 to $150 each depending on which frame you select).
The wheels are the sought after 16″ wheels. The tires are not worth anything and two have a slow leak. The front axle is equipped with Warn Premium Locking Hubs.”
