What are those things on the back bumper?

this has a small block Chevy V8 fitted and matched up to I believe the original Transmission,
it also has one of the most substantial hard top I have seen, its a solid jeep and looks grate,it also as you can see has tow frame I haven’t heard it run but was told it drove to where I picked it up from, I have no reason to believe it has any major problems it doesn’t have any brakes at the moment probably down to being stood $3,750 call

“You are looking at/bidding on a 1963 Jeep FC-150 in excellent condition.  I am selling this for a very good friend of mine who is not exactly computer literate!  Please feel free to ask any questions at all that you may have about the vehicle, and I will relay them in a timely manner.

He has owned this Jeep for over 25 years and has taken very good care of it.  It was re-painted three years ago, and has been garage kept ever since. (Over $3k invested) (It’s been garage kept for almost 20 years)  The seats were re-upholstered just last summer to the tune of $750.  The only issue with the vehicle is that the speedometer stopped working in March.  It has only been driven four or five times since then, and therefore the mileage on the odometer is only about 100 miles off.

-This model is the 4 cylinder (134 CI) 3 speed transmission with a 2 speed transfer case.

-It has a PTO driven 8,000 pound winch that is fully functional (Ramsey)

-Good  windshield with no cracks or chips at all.

-The plumbing and undercarriage for a plow is on the Jeep, but no plow is included with the sale.  (Previous owner plowed with it about 30 years ago)

-4 Brand new Hercules tires with less than 50 miles on them. (Purchased 3 weeks ago)

-Vehicle is 100% ready to turn key and go.”

Check out the the bulges in the entry points on both the passenger and driver’s sides.  Somehow the body or entire frame & body have been bent down in the center.  Add to this strange issue is the claim this rig only has 17k miles or so.  Then there are the modified steps and modified gas tank inlet.  I’d run the other direction on this one.

This sounds interesting …

“I have 2 1952 jeeps. [ 3000 for both ] They are W-38 -a1 –? …they have original 4 cylinder overhead valve engines [getting specs] ….sealed for under water … both have 23,000 miles….have titles and I am investigating the history…..they were Naval issue …with stainless steel original hard tops…have original wooden doors with original army green paint on inside….were purchased at a surplus auction in the sixtys, and used very little. Kept semi inside, these jeeps were green, then blue civil service color…they still have the remnents of the civil service stickers and #s on hoods…the one has a plate that says Edwards Airforce Base on front bumper …they have different types of info stickers on both …one inteior says commander vehicle ..these jeeps are in great condition, with one with minor corner spot. These are unrestored jeeps sealed with naval blue rustolium in good condition …both motors are free [ and i will post engine compresion on both ] – cleaning fuel systems now and both will be running shortly. They are complete down to the original air cleaners ..everything…even have the jerry cans for back of both.. Will post more info as I get it …email for any questions ….any offers appreiciated as well as any shared info. I am away working from sterling now but i am getting new brake seals , batterys and such to make them go next i go there these jeeps are original ruff but take good photo ..price is nego.. (06/22/2011)This has the expanded windshield modification.

“This is a 1947 Jeep with 283 1957 chevy engine 4 barrel Holy carb w/ Holly intake manifold all Mallory ignition w/Optimun battery, w/new lock outs, body repainted in 2010,US Marine Corps theme W/Decals Related to the Corps. Engine to the best of my knowlage has been rebuilt. All it needs is valve cover gaskets that I didn’t get put on yet. Has new 4 pt seat belts in it. Newly powered coated roll bar, dual mufflers with alum steps on each side, chrome grill. Just put on Aluminum wheels. Tires are 33in super swampers. LED brake lights (new also) and has new turn signals. Replaced both rear axles in winter of 2011. Very good comfortable seats. Spare tire is brand new, Front disc brakes. Also with winch.. Has two milatary gas cans mounted on rear not shown. When I first bought it I couldn’t find serial no. Took it to level (1) inspection and had a new number assigned to it. Every thing about registration was a real hassel but got it done. Have title and regestration. This Jeep is fun and will go anywhere you want to go and licenced for the street.”
