“1959 Willys Jeep, cab over, 4×4, good for parts or project. mostly complete, not running, no title. $400,”
UPDATE: Here’s some before and after pics from when Jim owned this jeep. This is one of Jim’s vehicles that he rebuilt. This is likely no longer for sale.
This includes a roll cage that can be bolted in or taken out (as it is in the picture).
“1960 Willys jeep CJ5, original condition. Stock 4-cylinder, 3-speed manual, high and low range transfer
case. Full locker axles front and back. Has lock out hubs. Yes I’m sure it can out climb a Billygoat.
Beautiful full canvas top with canvas doors. Full roll cage that can bolt in or out. Working tailgate with chains. 16 inch wheels with beautiful 7.50-16 agressive 10 ply tires that really make the look. Fuel and water cans on the back. Axe and shovel also. High lift jack on the front bumper. I have a complete new stock exhaust system not installed yet. Nothing really wrong with the exhaust that is on it now though….”
Jim pointed this out, suggesting it would make a nice little camping trailer. I agree. It could be very cool. …. After a little research I discovered I posted some of these last year. You can view that page here. Here’s some more information from Wikipedia on the K-38.
“Army jeep trailer from WW2 known as a K 38. Used by the military signal corps. This can be locked up. I have replaced the tires since these photos. Send your ph #”
This looks in good shape.

“1946 Willys CJ-2A. Original Engine And Transmission. Runs & Drives Great. NDT Tires and Original Wheels. $2000 Firm. (317)-432-3582”
UPDATE: SOLD on eBay for $2500 just a few hours after it was listed. This was also listed at $2500 on Craigslist originally, but to my surprise didn’t sell.
This looks in great shape. It still looks like a pretty good price given the condition.
“1950 Willy’s Jeep CJ3A, it has been garage kept in Santa Fe New Mexico for the last several years. The last time the Jeep was registered for the street was 1994. I would recommend a tune up and have the carburetor re-built or cleaned, fluids have been changed, engine oil and anti-freeze, the gas tank was drained and new fuel put in. The Jeep has been converted to a 12-volt system and still uses a generator. There is an electric wiper on the driver’s side and a manual wiper on the passenger’s side. It has locking hubs and they work fine. The engine is not the original, and does leak some oil, probably from sitting and not being run for the past few years. The transmission shifts fine and does not pop out of second gear at all; the transfer case also shifts with no problems. ….. As far as payment: If you have any questions please email or call me and ask, I will do my best to answer them or you.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2450.
It’s missing the lights upfront. It looks complete and original.
“1953 M38A1 4×4 jeep. Runs and drives. Rebuilt transmition and transfer case, 24 volt ignition system. This jeep is mostly original and would make a good restoration project as it has all original components in good shape with a solid frame and very restorable body. All parts for restoration are still available for this jeep.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2000
This is non running, but loks in solid condition on the outside.
“Ive owned this Willys for 15 years. Its not been driven and in storage for the last 10 years. From South Dakota. Has some rust . but not like most of these you see. Not modified, Orig flat 6 motor. Complete, everythings there, Will need some work to get it back on the road due to long term storage, Motors not locked up, but brakes are from sitting. “1948 WILLYS JEEP,VERY RARE, MUST SELL,”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5000.
“times really are tough. must sell my 1945 willys combat jeep. the jeep is a work in progress. right now it runs good, no smoke or engine noises. it drives and it stops. clutch slips some in high range gears. throwout bearing is a little noisy. all gears work, 4 wheel drive with lockout hubs works perfect. has all new brakes and brake lines including all steel and rubber lines. carb was rebuilt. still needs cosmetics. fuel tank gally under the seat needs replace. has no orig tank, uses plastic boat tank now. no windshield glass floors are not perfect they have some thin spots but mostly solid. this jeep with another 1500 in cosmetic work is very valuable. I would take 5000 firm. as little as 3000 with a trade. looking for old chevy muscle.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $1000. It runs. Looks like a great price to me.
(07/13/09) I wonder how bad the inside rust really is.
“Up for sale is one of the rarest jeeps ever produced. It is a millitary M170 field ambulance. It has been converted to 12 volts. It does have rust in the bed and passenger floor. It would make a great restoration project or hunting vehicle. It runs and drives. The 4wd also works. The frame and drive train are in good condition. The driverside windsheild also has a crack in it. I do not have a title will be sold with a bill of sale.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500.

“1952 Willys-M38 Jeep. Water proof, posi traction ,hotwater heaterkit, with /brz foring kit ,runs and drives well. Does need a little tlc but worth the price.
UPDATE: The winner of this auction for the low price of $1575, Joe reports he brought a new battery with him when he picked up the jeep, stuck it in the jeep and the jeep fired right up. He then drove the jeep right on to the trailer. He’s a happy camper about now. Congrats!
“1950 WILLYS JEEP in running condition. It needs brakes, has oversized tires, original spare tire and needs some body work. It would be good for running around the farm or woods, used for parts or restore it. The mileage listed may not be correct although it has not had many miles put on in the last 40 years, mostly just offroad around the property here.”
UPDATE: Pics provided and price dropped to $2995
Appears mostly original, except for the CJ-2A windshield.
“THIS JEEP RUNS GOOD I DRIVE IT ALOT. I AM ASKING $2950.00 O.B.O. CALL WITH ANY QUESTIONS. 620-432-3518.”

The coffee has been cleaned off of the hood and this has been sold. I’m just showing it for kicks. You can see the early pics (and mouse) here and the coffee here.
“All original everything, needs a complete restoration. Has a very straight body, I just pulled it out of a local farm where it sat unused for the past 30+ years. No title, bill of sale only, if you need a title I am happy to show you how to get one, is simple, cheap, takes maybe 2 weeks, have done it many times. I can help with local transport on my flatbed or farther for the cost of fuel. No scammers, lowballers or BS, thanks and have a great day. Jim”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was Make Offer
This might be an interesting find. Did the early M-38a1 come without a tailgate or is this a later model body?
“For sale is this 1952 Jeep Willy. Used in the winter months only…the rest of the time it was housed in the garage, Snow blade, Runs okay, Only minor rust, Enclosed roof/cap was installed, A lot of original parts”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay
“For sale is a 1941 Willys “slat grill” MB Army Jeep and a matching 1943 Bantam military trailer. Both are fully licensed and titled in the state of Wyoming.
The frame number on the jeep is MB108308, meaning that it was the 8308th production jeep delivered to the Army Quartermaster in WWII. There were more than half-a-million jeeps delivered to the military during WWII from Willys (the “MB”) and Ford (the “GPW”).
There is a weird screw-up on the body, in that early production jeeps featured a “script” from the manufacturer on the back. I purchased a reproduction rear body panel and, somehow, the Willys script was stamped on the wrong side. It’s an easy fix that anyone reasonably adept at welding can handle and I probably should have taken care of it by now, but I actually enjoyed leaving it that way, largely to drive the perfectionists crazy.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4750.
Here’s a wagon that looks nicely stock.
“Early production, 1947 Willys Wagon complete with 4-cyl Willys engine and 3-speed with overdrive. A rare find! The wagon is in good condition and runs!
