Is this winch a Warn winch that is installed backwards? I havent’ seen the housing on the right before.

Its installed right and its actually a belleview winch 6000, came before Warn bought them, built larger later it became the now famous 8274 warn upright winch! It had cables that operated it that went into the cab. I have an excellent one if anyone wants to add a very cool period piece in a restoration etc.
Oops, I take it back, I think it is installed backwards, just looked at some old pictures of one of my jeeps with that winch on it, is opposite of this, whoopsy!
It looks like it is bolted to a plate in back, which is why it is mounted backwards? Maybe this makes sense?
