UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $55,000.

(03/10/2010) “This rare find — a completely handmade, completely stainless steel Jeep — was commissioned in the Philippines in 1981 and custom built by then-President Ferdinand Marcos. It was later purchased by a well-known national television news correspondent, who then had this one of a kind Jeep shipped back to Los Angeles. It has never been driven. With less than 10 miles on the odometer, this classic style “Eisenhower” Jeep is a vintage car collector’s dream. The exterior is like new; it’s been protected in a fully-covered, temperature-controlled garage since its trip to the United States. To our knowledge this is the only Jeep of its kind in the U.S. The brushed-exterior is in supreme condition. The engine is a rebuilt 1953 Willy’s V-8 that needs only minor service. Complete vehicle sold as is.”

oops .. I missed the ‘Willys V8’ comment. Yeah, I can’t quite tell what the motor is. They want more for this than the seller of the Reagan M-38A1 wants for that jeep (only $50k) — I don’t think so….

Troy … good point .. 10 miles is a LOT of downhill coasting 🙂 … you know, I don’t want to jump to any conclusions (guess I will anyway), but if I had a vehicle that had never been driven and I had stored in a temp controlled storage facility, I’m not sure parking it (or pushing it) under a palm tree in the dirt would be something I would do ….

Just in time for Christmas, the ONLY stainless steel Willys in the US of A. Not only that, but it was made by Ferdinand Marcos hisself. Wasn’t Ferdinand a bull? Sounds like there’s lots of bull in this deal.
