Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $750.
“It is pretty complete with a 226 6 cyl 4×4 with hospital rear doors. Was a motor pool gov truck (has a plaque on the glove box). Would be a good restoration candidate or a super parts truck. Not running, however motor willy freely spin by hand. It has no title.”
I’m certainly no wagon expert, but this actually looks good to me, and seems like a good price. If this was in my area I think it would sell quickly, but I seem to recall reading somewhere that it’s an expensive process to get a title in Texas if you don’t have one, so it might not sell quickly there. Maybe someone out-of-state could buy this & haul it home…
Those were my exact thoughts too (though I didn’t know licensing was difficult in Texas).
This is a “SUPER” deal folks…and I feel it might be newer …late 50’s – early 60’s…serial number will tell….This is a very nice, nice find….the rear doors on this are rare…..I Love It!!!
