The grandson of Samuel Hunter created an online scrapbook of his adventures during World War II in the Pacific. Interestingly, Sam was 44 when he joined the Navy. Perhaps due to his age, he understood the uniqueness of this experience and kept a scrapbook. From the scrapbook comes the entire story along with this picture, one of many images.
