Robin spotted this ad. As he noted in his email to me, it is fun to read Craiglist if only to discover the strange things people will say in their ads. In this case, neither of us have ever seen someone concerned about altering their jeep into a “Weed spraying rig”.
“53 jeep willys, runs excellent, rebuilt 4 cyl motor, rebuilt transmission. Really neat antique. Will not sell it to you if you want to turn it into a weed spraying rig! Wife says it must go”
They do a lot of spraying 2-4-D on spotted knapweed in that neck of the woods. 2-4-D is a close relative of Agent Orange (2-4-5-T, whatever the hell that means). Lots of people are VERY much against the chemical, which might explain the unwillingness to sell for use as a weed spray rig.
