UPDATE: Mitch pointed out that this has a battery box.  To me this means this is likely an original body rather than a repro.  Check out the motor and wiring.  Not the correct engine, but looks like some good work here.

This is a bit of a FrankenJeep, the body is a repro M38 with a tailgate added, the engine is a F-head, but the chassis may well be the original 2A that corresponds with the title, or the complete running gear is early CJ5, just can’t tell cause you can’t see enough of it in the pics. But it sure is a well built FrankenJeep, it is very neatly done in every detail, so it might be a good deal in the end….

I’m not sure that’s a repro tub. I think that’s full M38. Do the repro’s have the battery box and the glovebox and the removeable dash panel plus the sheet metal deal deal behind the body indents? the tailgate is even M38 judging by the slotted bracket. Can’t tell if it has the additional M38 tailgate bracing. The motor is definitely not correct tho.

Mitch .. I never saw the battery hole. I agree that likely is an original M-38 body. It also has the non Willys tailgate, too.
